Or maybe ... a bicycle with a caravan?

The whole concept can be considered both extremely innovative and bizarre. The trailer is not large and at first glance does not reveal its capabilities, but it will certainly find its amateurs.

What does it offer?

The trailer has four wheels - a set of two wheels on one side is independent of the other. According to the manufacturer, this solution and the special design of the suspension are to make it easier to pull the Bushtrekka over unevenness.

We can transport our luggage in three lockers, which have a total capacity of 180 liters. But this is not the end of the Bushtrekka's possibilities, because it is also equipped with a tent that can be folded out over the luggage compartment. Thanks to this, a cyclist can spend the night in nature, but not on cold or damp ground, but several dozen centimeters higher. This is by far the greatest advantage of this vehicle.

Will the chassis of the trailer be stable enough to support a tent measuring 2200 (length) x 810 mm (width) and the occupant inside? Admittedly, the 26 kg base seems quite stable, although such a weight puts in question the ease of moving the Bushtrekka, especially when driving over uneven terrain or uphill. It is worth adding that when the tent is folded, the caravan measures 860 mm in length.

For whom?

Who can be recommended such original equipment? Perhaps people who like long bicycle trips, but are not always sure that they will reach a covered place to stay on time. It is also a good solution for lovers of multi-day camping. Unfortunately, pulling a heavy trailer behind you is a big inconvenience, but in return you can have quite large luggage and an emergency place to sleep (1 meter high).

Perhaps it is also a good solution for traditional caravanning enthusiasts who would like to go far away from the campsite from time to time, to places inaccessible enough that it would be difficult to reach them by car.

For how much?

If so, there is still the question of price. Until recently, the trailer was available for $ 900 (a similar price still applies to Amazon). Apparently, however, this was a prohibitive price, as recently there was an opportunity to purchase this unusual vehicle for $ 329.99. The trailer is made of strong, durable nylon and aluminum. As standard, it is equipped with a rain cover (this option, however, does not apply to trailers offered in the USA).
