Knaus Eurostar

A streamlined front, a dynamic-looking rear with sharply cut lights and an aluminum strip, as well as a gray print on the side wall - all this makes the Knaus Eurostar trailer look very modern (the manufacturer even calls it "3D optics"). You may also like black painted alloy wheels.

Through the shower tray to the washbasin

Eurostar comes in three varieties, each 2.5 meters wide.

The 500 EU model was designed with five passengers in mind. The total length of this trailer is 808 cm, but inside it is only 532 cm (the so-called effective length). The internal height is 196 cm. The trailer with its equipment weighs 1,730 kg and its permissible total weight is 2,000 kg.

This model has three beds - two single beds, permanently placed on both sides of the trailer, and one foldable bed, intended for a maximum of three people. Both sleeping areas can be separated by a fabric curtain.

The kitchen part is slightly curved, but it is not L-shaped. The gas stove burners are arranged in series. The manufacturer did not include a refrigerator in the catalog plan of the 500 EU model.

There is a lockable bathroom on the opposite side of the kitchen. Unfortunately, there is a problem with it. Well, to use not only the toilet, but also the washbasin requires... entering the shower tray. In a modern trailer of this class, this should be considered a serious disadvantage.

Better use of space is made in the 500 FU model, designed for up to four people, which has the same dimensions as the EU. In the bathroom, you have to cross the shower tray to get to the seat, but at least you don't have to soak your feet to wash your hands. In the kitchen there is room for a 108-liter refrigerator.

However, we will be most comfortable in a trailer marked with the 590 FUS symbol, which indicates the available interior length. The total length is 866 cm. In this model, the toilet area is also not impressive, but the L-shaped kitchen is worth appreciating. It is a pity that one of the beds has a large indentation, which may not be comfortable.

Lots of windows and lights

The manufacturer decided to use the possibilities offered by both the floor and the ceiling. The multifunctional floor houses electrical appliances and a 45-liter clean water tank. The roof can contain a window, air conditioning, lighting and a TV set.

The materials used inside the trailer seem to be of good quality, and the upholstery is made of hypoallergenic fabrics. The ceiling lamp in the form of a wide rim is impressive. As standard, we will receive three roof vents (40x40 cm) with a mosquito net and double heat-insulating windows, with a mosquito net and a roller blind. The trailer will also have a separate space for two 11-liter gas cylinders.

In addition, we can expect various types of LED lighting as standard, including lights with a dimming function, the Truma S 5004 heating system with a 12V blower, and a boiler with a capacity of 5 liters and sewage system (central dirty water drain under the trailer). Unfortunately, there is no sewage tank.

To sum up, the Knaus Eurostar is a trailer that promises a little more than what we can find inside it. Inconvenient bathroom layout or lack of a sewage tank as standard are among the inconveniences that undermine the high class of the trailer. However, for those who do not find this a problem, they will receive a trailer worth their attention in every other respect.
