The German company La Strada specializes in the construction of the so-called motorhome-vans. Currently, it offers three models, one of which is based on the Fiat Ducato and two on the Mercedes Sprinter.

The cheapest option in La Strada's offer is the Avanti model range. There are as many as 6 basic variants, each of which is based on the Fiat Ducato.

La Strada Avanti

This is a fairly standard proposition. The distinguishing features of the Avanti series are, however, some characteristic details, such as interestingly stylized sofa headrests , bold color variants of the upholstery and a large selection of furniture fronts. There are, for example, interiors in silver and red colors . The motorhome is equipped with, among others in 70-liter tanks for fresh water and sewage.

The cars are available in two lengths - 599 cm and 636 cm . Avanti L has a double, slightly indented bed for two people and a small bathroom with a shower. In the Avanti XL, despite the same vehicle length, both the double bed and the bathroom were enlarged. In the Avanti E, the sofas surrounding the table on three sides can be converted into two single beds of more than average length . In Avanti H, the beds are located on two levels - downstairs and upstairs.

Among the longer versions, we can choose the C and EB models - with double and single beds, respectively.

La Strada Regent

However, the real fun starts one step higher. Mercedes, although today not as affordable as it used to be, is still associated with luxury, or at least with high quality. La Strada offers two Regent models built with the Sprinter. Both motorhomes are 593 cm long and differ mainly in the interior layout.

While in Avanti the sleeping area is always at the end of the vehicle, in Regent we have a choice. The layout of the S model is similar to that of the Avanti. The bed is at the rear, perpendicular to the direction of travel . Next is the bathroom, and in front of it - the kitchen. At the front there is a seating corner with a table.

Regent L has a folding bed, suspended in the front part of the cabin, above the seating corner. Where there is a bed in the S model, the L has a bathroom across the entire width of the vehicle . For two people it should be a very comfortable layout, which will be a very important advantage of the spacious bathroom.

La strada Nova

The most luxurious motorhome in the La Strada palette is Nova. The car is available in M and L versions, and a trained eye will recognize these models from the outside, thanks to a greater number of ribbing in the body and an integrated awning . Instead of wide, sliding side doors, we find here narrow doors that open traditionally .

The length of the vehicle is the same as in Regent, but the interior layouts are different. Nova M has a fold-down double bed in the front and a single cross-bed in the rear. So three people can stay in the car. In the central part of the motorhome, we managed to find a kitchen and a bathroom of a decent size.

Nova L, on the other hand, has a fairly spacious seating area with four independent armchairs (including reversible seats for the driver and passenger) set around the table. The double bed is at the rear of the motorhome.

Interestingly, in La Strada each model can also be ordered in a four-wheel drive version .

America by car, part 5/10 - Grand Canyon
Let me start at the end - it's 10pm and we've just got to Page (pronounced whip), where we'll be spending tonight. When we entered the city it was already dark but we came to the conclusion that it was a city of motels, churches (of various denominations - free market?) And fast food. Unfortunately, at 10 pm everything was closed and we were directed to a 24-hour roadside pub where we took a small dinner (according to Marcin: approx. 700 kcal per person). We went back to the hotel, booked a night in Cedar City for tomorrow so it was close to Bryce Canion and Zion Park, which we are going to visit tomorrow. We also bought an overnight stay in Las Vegas - we have a really cool hotel ( www.stratospherehotel .com ) ... but today it's the first obsówka in the plan, because we decided to stay in the Grand Canyon until the very end, so from the beginning ... Waking up before 7 without an alarm clock, fast morning toilet - 4 people in one bathroom is quite a challenge J, breakfast which turned out to be "Just cold breakfest" and we were displeased that there were no eggs and bacon. We are already leaving before 9 am. Today Marcin takes the baton of the court driver - the guys are brave enough and despite the pre-departure threats that they will chase us behind the wheel, because they will have better classes, they have not allowed the "woman" to get behind the wheel to this day. We arrived at the Grand Canyon around 11 o'clock, wanting to first take advantage of the helicopter flight over the canyon and admire the beautiful nature from above. Unfortunately, first of all: it was too windy today and the flights were under a big question mark. Secondly, it turned out that in this part of the canyon, helicopters do not fly between the rocks, because it is the area of the national park - it is forbidden. We found out that there was an option to fly from the eastern side of the canyon and we decided to take a flight from Las Vegas. It is cold and windy, as I have already mentioned, so we have a little dressing up in the car - we jump into long pants and sweatshirts, trying not to throw Kuba's drying underwear from the car shelves. We enter the park and we are immediately greeted by a few deer - the animals I mean ... They are grazing in the forest by the road. We reach the first vantage point, park outside the designated places (not us alone) and we see an indescribable sight - the reactions of all four of us were similar - uncensored, so we will not quote or quote. So, being unable to give up such views, we spend the whole day there, moving from place to place and admiring this wonder of nature from different perspectives. We stay until the sunset and we do the most kitschy photos that you will have to watch, whether you like it or not.
