There were plenty of surprises at the 2nd Caravanning Salon. One of them is the fact that Polish producers made up a large part of the companies showing campers. Our talks show that this year, despite the crisis, they expect a growing interest in caravanning in Poland.

Poland and camping? Niewiadów comes to mind. The fact that trends are changing is evidenced by the fact that even this company presented during the Motor Show 2013 not a caravan, but a motorhome described with the slogan "the first Polish motorhome". Well, maybe the first, but today it is definitely not the only one. In addition, the competition seems to have much more to offer.

Voyager - no complexes

A vehicle worth special attention is the Neo-Traveler Voyager, whose semi-integrated bodywork based on Fiat Ducato was created by the Elcamp company from Krakow. Neo-Traveler is no longer a poorer friend of camping vehicles from the West, but their full-fledged competitor.

In the models presented at the fair, attention was drawn to the cream-colored quilted upholstery and interesting LED lighting hidden in the sunroof. Even the bathroom fan is hidden in a transparent roof window, which looks interesting and allows for additional light.

An interesting solution is also the front lowered bed, consisting of two parts. The first part can be lowered over the heads of the driver and passenger, while the second one looks like a wall shelf, which, by pulling the handles, can be lowered at a 90-degree angle, making it a further part of the sleeping surface.

Live in a container

It was also interesting at the stand of the Ebacamp company from Robakowo near Grudziądz. This company gives customers two options - the first is to buy a ready-made motorhome. The second, however, allows the installation of a delivery vehicle provided by the customer. The interior arrangement can be almost any, depending on the client's preferences. Almost - because due to the installed installations, the bathroom part in each model is located in the middle of the vehicle. Standard buildings alone cost about 60 thousand. zloty. Among the additional options, you can order, for example, an electrically lowered bed.

We were particularly impressed by the container, which can be installed periodically on the chassis of a delivery truck or truck. Apparently, it takes about 45 minutes to put on such a camping container (containing all the equipment typical for a premium motorhome). Nothing creaks inside, because the furniture is made of wood and aluminum. What distinguishes the containers are also large, 350-liter water tanks and spacious garage recesses.

Building on request

Custom-made bodies are also made by the Waldi company, which showed a pilot camper van body made for Peugeot at the fair. The owner of the company admitted in an interview with CampRest that he hopes to establish successful cooperation with car manufacturers. Currently, the customer has to deliver his own car to the company. Standard adaptation for camping purposes costs PLN 39,000 net. This price does not include a toilet with a shower, which can be installed for another PLN 4,000.

Polish design

A new proposition on the Polish market is the Novano brand created by the Doch company from Pruszków. The manufacturer not only builds campers and caravans in Poland, but also exports its vehicles to Italy and Germany.

In Poznań, the manufacturer showed Novano 636 - a motorhome based on Fiat Ducato, delighting with its clean and modern, white and brown interior colors. Attractive external design is the distinguishing feature of the Concept Novano 480 trailer, which was the pride of the company's stand.
