Polish camping accents in Poznań

There were plenty of surprises at the 2nd Caravanning Salon. One of them can be considered the fact that among the companies showing campers, a large number were Polish producers. Our conversations show that this year, despite the crisis, they expect growing interest in caravanning in Poland.

Poland and camping? Niewiadów comes to mind. However, the fact that trends are changing is proven by the fact that even this company presented during the Motor Show 2013 not a caravan, but a camper described with the slogan "the first Polish camper". Well, maybe the first, but certainly not the only one today. In addition, the competition seems to have much more to offer.

Voyager – without complexes

A vehicle worth special attention is the Neo-Traveller Voyager, whose semi-integrated body based on Fiat Ducato was created by Elcamp from Krakow. Neo-Traveller is no longer the poorer friend of camping vehicles from the West, but their full-fledged competitor.

The models presented at the fair attracted attention with quilted furniture upholstery in a cream color and interesting LED lighting hidden in the sunroof. Even the bathroom fan is hidden in the transparent roof window, which looks interesting and also allows additional light access.

Another interesting solution is the front lowering bed, consisting of two parts. The first part can be lowered over the heads of the driver and passenger, while the second one looks like a wall shelf which, by pulling the handles, is lowered at an angle of 90 degrees, turning it into another part of the sleeping surface.

We wrote more about this camper in the article: Poles can also build campers .

Live in a container

It was also interesting at the stand of Ebacamp from Robakowo near Grudziądz. This company gives customers two options - the first is to buy a ready-made camper. The second one allows for the construction of a delivery vehicle provided by the customer. The interior design can be almost completely arbitrary, depending on the customer's preferences. Almost - because due to the installed installations, the bathroom part in each model is located in the middle of the vehicle. The standard construction itself costs approximately PLN 60,000. zloty. Additional options include an electrically lowered bed.

We were particularly impressed by the container, which can be temporarily installed on the chassis of a delivery van or truck. Apparently, putting together such a camping container (containing full equipment typical of a premium camper) takes about 45 minutes. There are no creaks inside, as the furniture is made of wood and aluminum. What distinguishes the containers are also large, 350-liter water tanks and spacious garage bays.

Construction on request

The Waldi company also makes custom-made bodies, which showed a pilot camper body made for Peugeot at the fair. The company owner admitted in an interview with CampRest that he hopes to establish successful cooperation with car manufacturers. Currently, the customer must bring his or her own car to the company. A standard adaptation for camping purposes costs PLN 39,000 net. This price does not include a toilet with a shower, which can be installed for another PLN 4,000.

Polish design

A new proposition on the Polish market is the Novano brand created by the Doch company from Pruszków. The manufacturer not only builds campers and caravans in Poland, but also exports its vehicles to Italy and Germany.

In Poznań, the manufacturer showed Novano 636 - a camper based on Fiat Ducato, delighting with its clean and modern, white and brown interior. The attractive external design is the distinguishing feature of the Concept Novano 480 trailer, which was the decoration of the company's stand.
