The new compact from Rapido - a small powerhouse

Among the novelties of Rapido for 2022, you can find several interesting proposals, especially when it comes to half-integrated games. More and more people are looking for agile, functional vehicles that realistically fit into the magic GVW of 3.5 tons, which will easily overcome the Balkan hills and serpentines, or allow you to explore the nooks and crannies of the Italian islands without stress.

This market segment is growing dynamically, and the ingenuity in using often scarce space can surprise you. This is also the case with the new toddler from the Rapido stable.

Rapido C50 - compact and spacious

Measuring only 659 cm long and 217 cm wide, the interior of the vehicle hides everything that we would expect from many integrated amps. Everything is ergonomically and practical. At the table at the front of the vehicle, there will be as many as five people - 2 on the couch, 2 on the driver's and passenger's air seats, and one on the side, fold-out seat at the entrance. The useful width of the vehicle inside is 205 cm, which was enough to create a comfortable bed for one person - we just lower the table and arrange the pillows. 2 people can sleep comfortably in the back. There are 4 seats with belts on board.

Customers have at their disposal 2 versions of interior colors - bright Belaggio and classic, more contrasting - Nacarat. In this model, a new upholstery fabric called Bonifacio was used, replacing the previously used Denver material. Of course, more demanding customers may choose upholstery with polyamide admixture or leather upholstery.

Ergonomics above all

In the kitchen, ergonomics is also the main thing - a large sink and a two-burner cooker with a lifted lid, which will effectively prevent greasy stains on the wall. Around the window you will find an elegant, easy-to-maintain, white plexiglass panel, and above it, under the hanging cabinet, an absorber that extracts steam and smells outside the motorhome. Below we have 3 rows of drawers, the upper one is equipped with a cutlery organizer, and the middle one will accommodate a lot of pots and kitchen tools or provisions. Optionally, an oven can be placed under the hob. Interestingly, for safety reasons, the drawers are equipped with a central electric lock.

The refrigerator is very roomy for a compact car - it is a slim model with a capacity of 140 liters. Opposite there is a bathroom with a rotating wall - the so-called DuoSpace is a concept that allows you to quickly turn the wall and toilet to get a spacious shower cubicle. The bathroom door has a function that separates the rear bedroom from the front of the motorhome.

At the back there is a large French bed with dimensions of 140x190. Its front part is raised, and underneath you will find a spacious storage compartment. The aluminum frame and the Bultex mattress guarantee a comfortable sleep. The entire bed is electrically lifted, allowing you to make full use of the volume of the garage at the back. On the sides of the bed, everyone has their own wardrobe and a shelf for small items such as glasses or a telephone.

The Truma Combi 4 Diesel system will ensure a comfortable temperature in all conditions, while water heating is handled by a gas heater.

In our opinion

Rapido once again proves that it belongs to the league of manufacturers of recreational vehicles. The design itself is impressive - thanks to the large panoramic window above the living room, the interior is bright. All other windows have polyurethane frames and double glazing. The entire building is made of laminate, with great care for tightness and durability. Polyurethane is also used in the floor. Even the garage is heated - this motorhome will work in all conditions. The entire vehicle relies on modern LED lighting . It is an excellent proposition for a traveling couple, with the possibility of comfortable accommodation for a third person.

The Fiat-based car is powered by a 140 HP engine with a capacity of 2.2 liters, which turns out to be a completely sufficient solution. The numerous packages offered for the new Ducato include a virtual cockpit, an excellent automatic transmission and numerous driver assistance systems.
