Even more space

This year, one more hall has been made available to guests. Due to the increased number of foreign exhibitors, including those from North America, Asia and Eastern Europe, additional stands were needed for accessories and equipment for motorhomes and caravans.

- Caravanning as a form of recreation is becoming more and more popular. The sector is in real boom and the outlook for 2017 is encouraging. That is why we are waiting for this year's fair with great optimism and we hope to continue last year's results - explains Stefan Koschke, director of Caravan Salon.

Caravanning trends

What can we expect? In fact ... everything! The fair in Dusseldorf is an almost complete representation of the German market , which in turn is one of the largest in the world in the caravanning industry.

People who are just starting their adventure with tourist vehicles usually buy camper vans , which can be used both during the holidays and on a daily basis. Therefore, it is not surprising that there is a growing number of offers in this segment. On the other hand, the offer of integrated vehicles is also growing . Those who have a taste for caravanning, and at the same time have adequate financial resources, are looking for more and more comfortable and better equipped vehicles. But "integrateds" appear more and more often not only in the class of large "liners", but also in the middle price group.

When it comes to trends, these focus on two aspects. One of them is reducing the weight of camping vehicles . Elimination of wooden elements, wall structure in the form of honeycombs, replacing screws with strong adhesives, increasing use of carbon fiber and other modern materials - these are activities thanks to which camping vehicles can be lighter and have greater load capacity.

The second trend concerns communication . Today, almost every motorhome and caravan has an integrated panel that is a "command center" for batteries, water and sewage tanks, or lighting. Increasingly, on-board devices can be controlled by a remote control or even with a smartphone.

The factory equipment of cars also contributes to the increase in comfort and safety. Lane Assist, Parking Assist, Cameras, Park Assist, Hill Climb Assist, Trailer Stability Assist - All these features make travel easier than ever before.

When it comes to the design of caravans and motorhomes - only some manufacturers focus on high originality. In this respect, they may be particularly surprising, among others Knaus, Hobby and some Italian producers. The interiors will probably be dominated by the combination of light and dark elements of the decor, known from previous years, illuminated by moody LED lighting (with adjustable light intensity).

A party for all families

In Düsseldorf, however, you will be able to see not only the latest campers and caravans, but also see the most modern equipment and accessories, and even camping offers.

The fair will be accompanied by a lot of attractions for visitors. For example, in the E-Bike-Parcours zone, visitors will have the opportunity to test e-bikes and electric motorbikes. Adventure Park and springboards are provided for young people, and the animators will also provide entertainment for the youngest visitors.

From Poland, you can conveniently fly to Düsseldorf by plane (the fair center is located near the airport, surrounded by hotels). However, the organizers also took care of people who would come by passenger cars and motorhomes. 3,500 camping pitches have been prepared in the P1 car park (a place must be booked in advance via the Internet).
