Winter is a backup and many followers of white madness are already planning winter trips to the mountains. The search for accommodation begins, checking the skiing conditions, ticket prices and the most suitable ski region. When we decide on the place that suits us best, we decide to leave and ... and flap, we come to the place, no snow, in addition, the accommodation is not like in the pictures, but what to do, after all, we will not come back if the stay for the whole week has already been paid for and there is no point in returning the cash. Such situations do happen, but the most frequent cause of disappointment is not so much the quality of the hotel or accommodation, but simply a freak of nature under the title "snow is gone and it will not be". When going on such a trip, we are forced to commute to another resort every day to go skiing, or to give up the already paid hotel or apartment and rent another one in a different place or decide to go hiking in the center of the town.

Winter motorhome adventure

There is one more possible way to solve the above problem, a camper trip, which allows us total independence and freedom. Many people, hearing only about such an idea, ask themselves the question "but how?" After all, a night in a car in winter must be a massacre, cold, uncomfortable, nowhere to dry your clothes, nowhere to wash, and in general - how to live, Mr. Prime Minister? Nothing could be more wrong. A motorhome is a vehicle better equipped than many apartments in alpine resorts, we will find all the amenities we need (full heating, kitchen, shower, toilet, comfortable beds, TV, etc.). Of course, not every motorhome is suitable for this type of trip. First of all, we have to choose a year-round motorhome, which will have a double floor with heated tanks for clean and dirty water and adequate thermal insulation so that it does not cool down too quickly. If someone does not have their own camper van, the wide range of rentals will definitely allow us to go on a winter trip in this form.

Camper-park instead of a hotel

Another question arises regarding the choice of a parking space in the resort, after all, campsites are usually closed in winter. Well, in most ski resorts in Europe there are specially adapted camper parks, where we can find a place for our vehicle, stations where we can drain gray water and fill the tanks with clean water, in addition, it is possible to connect the motorhome to electricity to charge the batteries. Using the amenities of camper parks in resorts is usually associated with fees, but compared to the prices in hotels, you can say that you will not feel them at all. These places are usually in close proximity to the main lifts and the town center, also when living in a motorhome you are often in a better position than most expensive hotels. If someone does not want to use a small shower in the camper, nothing prevents you from going to the swimming pool every day after skiing, which is usually included in the price of the subscription.

Freedom to travel

However, the biggest advantage when going skiing in a motorhome is the ability to change the place at the time we choose. If we find that the skiing conditions are not ideal and check on the Internet that snow has fallen in the village nearby and the ideal conditions for riding are promised, we just start the engine and go. The only problem arises when we have already purchased a subscription for the whole week - but every problem can be solved in some way, just ask the people standing at the cash desk if they don't want to buy the subscription at an attractive price, we will surely find someone willing quickly.
