The largest park complex in Rome is the natural nature reserve of Decima . It is under the care of the RomaNatura organization, which is responsible for the management of natural protected areas in Rome. The park covers an area of 6,145 hectares and is probably the place of the first settlements in the area, which took place about 250 thousand. years ago.
