Slovenia is a small but very diverse country that boasts beautiful karst regions, wonderful and vast caves, as well as many spas. This is largely due to its location between the Julian Alps and the Adriatic Sea. The capital of the country is Ljubljana, which is one of the smallest capitals in Europe, but it is characterized by unusual architecture and many monuments. The Prekmurje region is also worth paying attention to.

Slovenia is considered a country of many cultures, due to the fact that some regions of this small country were once considered an integral part of Austria, while others, especially the coastal ones, were part of Italy. The eastern regions belonged to Hungary. This is where mainly Jews and Roma lived. Slovenia is also known for many spas and SPA centers, such as Moravske Toplice, Terme Lendava, Terme Radenci.

Expedition along the Mura River

The Prekmurje region covers the northeastern part of Slovenia, it is the largest plain in this country, stretching along the Mura River . The northern part of this area is fenced off by the Goricko hill , belonging to the Raab-Goricko-Őrség international nature park. The Prekmurje region is known as Slovenia's granary because it is covered with wheat and maize fields and wonderful vineyards.

The largest city in this area is Murska Sobota . We can see many monuments from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, but also many older ones. Among them, it is especially worth paying attention to the sixteenth-century Soboski Grad manor house, where the Regional Museum is located.

The Moravske Toplice spa is located 7 km from Murska Sobota. It is one of the most famous resorts of Slovenia, famous for the warmest thermal waters in Europe, which have unique characteristics and composition. The unique "black" thermal water, coming from a depth of 1250 m , owes its original color to the minerals it contains. Bathing in the spa pools of Moravske Toplice has many health properties , including improve circulation and support the locomotor system.
