IDEA FOR A WEEKEND - Beskid Niski
GRYBÓW - ROPA - FLOWER - SMEREKOWIEC - GŁADYSZÓW - MAŁASTOWSKA PASS - BARTNE - FOLUSZ - JASŁO
ROUTE 200 km
You can also camp in winter. Some mountains have not hurt anyone yet. As there is a long way to the Bieszczady Mountains, we stop for the night in Mszana Dolna in the parking lot behind the Commune Office near the church, from where we head east in the morning. Before Nowy Sącz, we can admire the panorama of the Tatra Mountains - the visibility is quite good, the so-called "las palmas" shines :)
As such, we start our tour this time from Grybów, although the car park on the market is crowded, but after going down the hill right behind the church on the left, there is another one where we manage to park. Walk around, look at the church in the market square and continue on your way.
Oil is not only a kind of fuel, but also a small town with two churches - the old one by the road and the new one, on a small hill next to which there is a large parking lot. Returning to the road, we have a look at the old manor-restaurant.
The Orthodox Church in Kwiatoń looks wonderfully in its winter glory. (parking)
We didn't visit Skwirtny, but we ended up in front of the church in Smerekowiec.
The Orthodox church in Gładyszów is a bit far from the main road, but you must check it out (parking lot). A road leads to it among a row of trees.
Orthodox churches, churches - and maybe you could lick some mountains like that? Well, we are starting our climb to the Małastowska Pass. It is not high (around 600m), but the winter is starting to take its toll, especially in the corners. We leave the car by the road, take a look at the nearby war cemetery ...
.... and what tigers like the most - we go to the mountains. Maybe not big (200 m ascent), but always :) Here you can clearly see that winter is in full swing. Snow-covered road, slightly uphill. After a while the trail turns to the side, but you can continue along the road and after 700 meters turn right (no entry). We went a little further along the road, but as we couldn't see anything, we went back (next time with the bike).
The hike is gentle, the snow creaks under our feet, sometimes "intelligent" skiers pass us, who cannot distinguish between the ski slope and the narrow path on the trail ... We reach the summit - look for views and go back down - this time straight, along the trail to the pass.
We go down - from the top there is a click to the church in Pętna, and before Ropnica a turn to Bartne - as the villages at the end of the world say. In fact, there is a bit of a road to it, only that most of the asphalt has been rolled up :( which unfortunately makes its mark with a loud "stamp stamp" after the holes in the mud ... (I think we've met Muczne recently). Next time we'll get here by bike or on foot - it's worth it.
We only visited Folusz (from where you can go to the Kornuty Reserve or Magura) - the roads turned out to be one huge ice rink, while 2 km further - towards Jasło we had a clean black road without a gram of snow.
We liked Jasło, or rather its market, somehow on average, so we quickly chose the only right direction that day - around Krosno, where we had a coffee appointment :)
The donkey puts hooves here and there…. he just travels the world. We travel in a small camper, if we can get there by car - we will get there, if not - we will try it on foot. Our trips are not boring, we have some more or less adventure almost every day. We get to know landscapes, monuments, people, and then we describe it on the blog with a pinch of humor ...
