A pity, because it has many advantages and even more charm. Malicious people call them - quite unfairly - the suburbs of Paris. Perhaps as a child's revenge for moving the capital here in the 15th century, after the city was liberated from the English occupation?.

The vast majority of us, caravanning enthusiasts, are used to the classic approach of manufacturers to designing usable spaces of trailers. The Knaus company, presenting its single-axle model, breaks from known patterns and goes towards modern design - like architects responsible for the design of lofts. Our adventure with Greece began in Alexandroupolis, we arrived in the city quite late and we were very tired. We drove through the main streets and immediately started looking for a place to stay. We left the city already in Thessaloniki, stopped by the beach on the coast full of hotels, restaurants and guesthouses. . We drove the bus into some abandoned gate and parked in the empty section between the two centers. In one of them we have located unsecured bathrooms and a beach shower, which of course we made good use of. The next day, a familiar surprise: the empty beach in the evening turned out to be one of the busiest in Alexandroupolis. I guess we started to get used to the fact that we fall asleep in a relatively deserted place and wake up in the spotlight. We sat on the beach for a while and began to gather in the direction of Thessaloniki.

One campervan, three-person crew, six weeks, almost 2,000 km. These were the initial assumptions for the 2014 holidays. Read for yourself what came out of it. We travel in a Hyundai Trajet with a vestibule - which has been serving us: Anka, Marek and 4.5-year-old Kuba as a substitute for a camper for 2 years. We don't like sitting still, so we spend no more than 4 days in each city we visit. We explore everything we can nearby - by bike or by car and move on. We appreciate regional food (although we won't eat it all because we are vegetarian), small breweries and interesting people. Our routes are dictated mainly by life - friends we visit along the way, festivals we want to participate in or simply interesting places we find on the Internet. Before we saved up money for a real camper, we decided to visit Poland - we started in 2012 and, over the next holidays, we managed to achieve our goal, step by step. We will finish the last stage in 2015 in a camper. We've already seen a lot, but there are still many places left to discover - and for now it's only Poland :).

How can you not go to the area? This time the choice fell on Janowiec and Kazimierz Dolny. Departure after lunch from Kielce via Radom ... and it was a mistake. In Radom, some detour, traffic jams and half an hour's loss, but somehow happily reached the gate of the castle park in Janowiec. The gate to the parking lot was locked.
