Owners of around 1,000 motorhomes and caravanning caravans protested in Berlin on Saturday, April 17, against restrictions imposed by federal authorities and federal states on the camping and parking industry. The initiators of the action were caravanningists focused on the initiative "Campen mit Abstand" (translated into camping with a distance), established in February 2021 on one of the social networks. Participants emphasize that the imposed restrictions are often devoid of rational premises, and their extension has a negative impact not only on the condition of the industry, but also hinders the "psychophysical regeneration of entire families".

After the Sejm passed the act amending the excise duty act, it was submitted to the Senate, which introduced 25 amendments to it. In shape after the changes, today it was again dealt with in the Sejm, and a real storm broke out around the vote. Result? Ultimately, by the votes of the MPs from the United Right itself (first PiS itself, and then Solidarna Polska / Alliance) , PiS lost in the votes.

Returning to "normality" is a spontaneously articulated desire, just like in our case. However, there will also be words of support for the legislator and criticism for those who disregard the restrictions. The prevailing comments try to emphasize the seriousness of the situation, the new strains of the virus and the important aspect of showing social solidarity. Giving up the luxury of using a motorhome would be one of the manifestations of such solidarity.

Lockdown in Germany - new information

This year's 3rd edition of Caravans Salon in Poznań turned out to be a success and was record-breaking in many respects. The largest number of exhibitors, almost twice the exhibition area, an increase in the number of visitors and participants of the Caravaing Rally. The number of premiere models of motorhomes and caravans was also impressive. All this took place in the unusual year 2020, which turned out to be a breakthrough for the caravanning industry in Poland. The fair in Poznań was the largest caravanning event that was organized this season and showed the potential of the industry in our country. We have just learned the date of the fair next year: Caravans Salon 2021 will be held on September 24-26, as usual at the Poznań International Fair.
