In Italy, in eastern Sicily, there is a resort with an extremely rich history. It is Syracuse, the city that St. Lucia, the patron saint of writers, the blind and those suffering from dysentery. The local group of monuments is so huge that the whole of Syracuse has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. It is completely understandable - at every step we encounter history here, one may even be tempted to say that it is in such places that our civilization was created. The past and the present are intertwined here, in the vicinity of the ruins from several centuries ago, we can see an intense flourishing of the city. An important element of Syracuse's economy is agricultural production (including the cultivation of almonds, olives and grapes) and two ports: Porto Grande and Porto Piccolo, connected by a canal separating Ortygia from the mainland.

From this year on, passenger cars with caravans were to be exempt from paying the e-toll. However, this did not happen. In Poland, every car with a permissible total weight of more than 3.5 tons and traveling on the toll road network must have a viaBox installed - a toll collection device. Unfortunately, this also applies to vehicle combinations, e.g. a car with a trailer, if the total permissible total weight of such a combination is higher than 3.5 tonnes. When the regulations were introduced, controversy was aroused by the information that this rule should also apply to caravans. Some politicians then spoke of a bug that will be quickly fixed. To the detriment of the fees, they do not apply to caravans in many European countries. This is e.g. in Germany, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Austria. And if so, then the fees in Poland may scare away many tourists who will easily avoid a country so hostile for caravanning enthusiasts on their route.

You cannot go camping without a viaBox

As a well-known advertisement says, "almost" makes a big difference. Its motive is not being satisfied with the substitute, just something similar. Meanwhile, a similar one can be as satisfactory as the original one, especially when, apart from a copy of the original, it also has other, typical values only for itself. If someone dreams of a trip to Venice, he should consider a city as beautiful as Italian, and a bit closer - go on a small trip to the coast of Slovenia and visit Piran. It is so close to the border that you can visit Italy while visiting Italy, and at the same time it is so beautiful that it fully deserves attention. The architecture of the resort is reminiscent of the buildings of Venice, as in the past it was a Venetian fortress on the coast of Istria. Most of the delicious buildings date back to that time, as well as the massive walls that separate the city from the rest of the land.

Glamping was created to meet the needs of discerning European and American tourists. Wealthy travelers were unwilling to stay in camp conditions and stayed in luxurious linen quarters. The quarters were furnished with beds, linens, Persian rugs and antiques. The travelers had cooks, guides, porters and even butlers at their disposal.

It&rsquo;s a region in north-western France, famous for cider, an alcohol made from apples, as well as beautiful sandy beaches, precipices and rocky cliffs. The Celtic past is clearly visible here, as well as how the Roman culture mingled with the Anglo-Saxon. It can be observed even in the place names &ndash; they&rsquo;re given both in French, as well as in Celtic (Breton).

Adria Sport is advertised as a motorhome for people who lead an active lifestyle and want an equally active rest. It's just that the same can also be said for any other motorhome. The slightly rounded shape of the exterior is not enough for the Adria Sport to even look like a dynamic car. It is an ordinary Fiat Ducato with a classic caravan. The manufacturer offers in this vehicle everything that a modern motorhome should have, the level of finish is also appropriate, but nothing more. If a plebiscite for the most average motorhome was announced, Adria Sport would have a huge chance of winning.

We do not have to go to Austria either, because just beyond the Polish border, Spindleruv Mlyn (Špindlerův Mlýn), commonly known as "Špindel", awaits skiing enthusiasts. It is the largest and most popular mountain resort in the Czech Republic, which is not surprising when we look at its offer. With so many possibilities for active recreation and so many options for sports, it becomes fully understandable why Špindlerův Mlýn is a place so eagerly visited by tourists. All year round.

The oldest city in Finland, Turku, can be the proverbial icing on the cake on our tour of this beautiful country. It is the first capital of the country, and for many Europeans visiting Finland, the first city they come across - the port of Turku is regularly visited  . In summer, it gets noisy on the banks of the Aurajoki River, with floating bars floating on the water. The name "Turku" in Finnish means "market square" and dates back to the time when the market here was the largest market on the south coast. In 2011, the city was awarded the title of the European Capital of Culture.

Trailers are triumphant on the internet. But not the new and futuristic ones. Old caravans have the best streak, becoming a graceful object for alterations and original styling. It turns out to be a good idea to buy an old caravan and "pimp" it in such a way that friends, neighbors and even passers-by rub their eyes with surprise. An old caravan is a great material not only to tinker a bit, but above all an opportunity to present your individual style to the world. So you can have a luxury caravan, dripping with chrome and making a great impression with pink leather, quilted armchairs, or you can arrange it more cozily with home curtains, curtains and pillows. Finally, you can choose a more unusual style and prepare a unique trailer that would, for example, match the Hello Kitty cartoon.

If we have already visited the capital of Finland, Helsinki, but we do not want to leave this beautiful, though slightly frosty country yet, we can go to a town with a nice-sounding name of Kotka. Funnily enough, it does not mean a fluffy pet - it literally means "eagle". Kotka is located on the coast of the Gulf of Finland, approx. 40 km from the border with Russia. The city center is located on the island of Kotkansaari. The port of Kotka is the country's main seaport , serving for foreign trade in both Finland and Russia.
