Are you dreaming of camping? Croatia is the perfect destination!

If you dream of indulging in sweet silence during your vacation, camping in Croatia is the best idea for a vacation . You will feel a truly Balkan atmosphere here: life on the Croatian coast goes in the rhythm of polako, polako - slowly and without rush. Enjoy the proximity of the crystal clear sea, the scent of pine forests and evening cicadas concerts. And when you get bored of sunbathing - dive in search of colorful fish, go for a bike ride or stroll through the winding streets of historic towns.

Campings and campsites in Croatia - Istria, Dalmatia or maybe Pag?

Go on vacation in Croatia at least once to find out that this one time is definitely not enough. In all its corners there are places that are travelers "must see".

Before choosing a particular camping in Croatia, you have to decide which region to go to. The Croatian coast stretches for hundreds of kilometers and it delights with something different in each section. And yet there are also islands - the archipelago in this part of the Adriatic Sea consists of 1,185 islands and islets. There are 67 inhabited islands, and each of them tells its own story. So what kind of campsite in Croatia would be the best for a first visit?

Campings and campsites Istria - Croatian Tuscany

Istria is a peninsula in the northern Adriatic Sea. It is sometimes called Croatian Tuscany - the green landscape undulating with gentle hills is confusingly similar to the Tuscan one. The Italian influence is also visible in architecture and culture. The Romans settled in Istria as early as the 2nd century BC, and a trace of their rule is, for example, the monumental amphitheater in the city of Pula.

When browsing through campings and campsites in Istria, you will "wander" to such areas as  Pula, Vrsar, Poreč or Rovinj, considered by many to be the most beautiful towns in this part of Europe. Each of these places offers what all of Croatia has to offer - sunny weather, beautiful sea, lots of greenery and delicious cuisine - but apart from that, it has its own unique features that you simply need to discover.

Campings and campsites in Croatia? Dalmatia!

Dalmatia stretches from the island of Pag in the north to the Bay of Kotor in the south, creating a 400-kilometer long strip of delightful diversity. You will find here small, intimate towns and large centers (for example Makarska) that never fall asleep. Regardless of which part of Dalmatia you are staying in, it is worth taking some time to visit the most beautiful places in Croatia, such as Dubrovnik, Split and Trogir, Korčula, Krka National Park or Mount St. George (Sveti Jure), which offers a fantastic view of the coast.

Campings and campsites Krk, Hvar or maybe Rab?

Whether you are looking for intimate small campings and campsites in Croatia or large holiday complexes, the islands are also worth checking out. Especially since each Croatian island has something different to offer! Krk is famous for its rich tourist offer, Hvar for its stunning nature (it is worth going here at the turn of June and July, when the island blooms with lavender), and Rab for its sandy beaches and lunar landscape.

Both Istria and Dalmatia, as well as the small and larger Croatian islands, are full of such charming places that you could simply choose a place for your vacation - every choice will be good. Browse through the best campsites in Croatia and see which area will catch your eye. To split your trip into smaller, less strenuous sections, check out also campings and campsites in the Czech Republic or camping in Austria.
