But to be able to admire it, it's best not to waste time and continue your journey along the coast. From Ancona we go towards Pescara , another small but very atmospheric town. It is one of the most important economic, commercial and tourist centers on the Adriatic coast. Thanks to its diversified coastline, over 20 km long, it is also a popular resort, crowded with thousands of holidaymakers in the summer. In addition, each year in July, Pescara organizes the international jazz festival Jazz Pescara . The sounds of jazz resounded here for the first time in 1969, and the event was the first Italian summer festival dedicated to jazz music. Since then, it has been one of the most important jazz festivals in Europe.

You can start your journey from the city of Trieste in northeastern Italy. It is a picturesque town with a magnificent town hall, a romantic lighthouse and the mighty Miramare Castle , standing right on the seashore, not far from the city. Trieste prides itself on its monuments, especially the pretty buildings in the old part of the city. It is really worth paying attention to it and spending more time here.

A trip to the edge of the heel - the coast of Italy

After seeing the power of Niagara Falls with our own eyes, we can already head towards the last point of our trip around Canada, i.e. Toronto. According to the Cruise Canada regulations, we have to return the camper by noon so that it can be ready for the next customers. Fortunately, we have enough time to visit the city, or at least its greatest attractions. And take a leisurely ride along the shores of Lake Ontario . So we set off, passing once again beautiful St. Catharines and its huge rose garden. We also pass Hamilton, the capital of the Canadian steel industry. Despite the unattractive sounding announcement, there are many eye-catching sights here, including the monumental Scottish Rite Castle , rightly called the castle. Even more beautiful is the historic classicist manor Dundurn Castle , where tourists are shown by guides dressed in costumes from the second half of the 19th century. XIX century. After being bought by the city, the castle underwent a major renovation, which cost nearly $ 3 million. Another noteworthy place is the Royal Botanical Gardens , one of the main tourist attractions between Niagara and Toronto . The grounds of the garden belong to both Hamilton and neighboring Burlington. Unlike St. Catharines, Royal Botanical Gardens is famous not for roses, but for the world's largest collection of lilacs. In addition to the garden, Burlington also tempts with the promenade at Spencer Smith Park and the annual food festival - Canada's Largest Ribfest . We make plans in our minds to go somewhere sunny and beautiful, in our dreams we are already on the beach and soak our feet in warm water. The exceptionally long weekend that we can enjoy this year is an ideal opportunity not only to relax, but also to gain strength to… continue to enjoy the rest. And what's the easiest way to do that? It is a good idea to spend at least one day in a resort famous for its hot springs. There is no shortage of them in Poland - the famous thermal baths in Bukowina, Białka Tatrzańska and Zakopane attract tourists from all over the country.

Sun, rest, joy, vacation, relaxation - if you took a survey and asked people about associations with the above-mentioned words, most of the respondents would answer that they associate them with a stay by the water. And probably a lot of people planning a trip for a picnic will go either to our beautiful Polish sea or to the lakes, which we can also be proud of. For many years, tourists have been constantly amazed by the Land of the Great Masurian Lakes - a huge area, unique both in the country and in Europe. Every year, thousands of holidaymakers from Poland and abroad, especially from Germany, come here. The region is loved by fishing, water sports and ornithologists (including amateurs). There are many habitats of rare bird species in the area of the Great Lakes, including the black stork and the white-tailed eagle. A cormorant, considered a symbol of Masuria, also lives here. The region is so beautiful, rich in terms of nature and rich in historical monuments that visitors rarely manage to get to know all the attractions.

During our trip, we touched the border with the United States several times. Now, however, we are heading directly towards it, to Chatham-Kent, a city that shares one of its lakes with the USA ( Lake St. Clair). The journey from Peterborough takes over four hours but we will make stops in some interesting towns along the way so understandably arrive later.

We are over two hours' drive from Kingston to our next point, Peterborough, 237 km to be exact. On the way we will stop in Belleville, which notable buildings include the historic Gothic City Hall (Belleville City Hall) and the Glanmore National Historic Site, a museum restored in 2012. In case of a longer stay in the city, a visit to the Colonel Roscoe Vanderwater Conservation is a must area - is a recreational area where you can practice all kinds of sports all year round. And for the delight of the palate, be tempted to visit Prince Edward County. In recent years, the town has become a rising culinary star in the region. Some even say it's Ontario's culinary capital. After tasting the local dishes in one of the many cozy cafes or restaurants, you can agree. The city hosts food festivals, including "Harvestin 'supper" and "Six Barrels for Six Chefs." There are also many vineyards and organic farms, and talented chefs flock to the island from all over the region. In addition, music sounds everywhere - there are plenty of talented street artists.

Toward Peterborough

Wandering from the capital of Canada towards Lake Ontario, the smallest of the five Great Lakes of North America, we will encounter a small town called Smiths Falls along the way. Situated in a picturesque setting by the Rideau Canal and attracting tourists with a park of over 90 hectares, Smiths Falls is a delightful city with many attractions. You can go fishing, play tennis, sail and go hiking for hours. It is a modern town with the atmosphere of an old town, visited every year by thousands of tourists who want to see the famous Rideau Canal, which will be discussed later. For now, we must be satisfied with the information that it is the main attraction of the town.

A trip to Kingston

. After a good rest, it's time to move on to the rest of the journey. This time we are heading to the capital of Canada, the city of Ottawa. It is about 200 km from Montreal, and there are many interesting and worth seeing places along the way. Vankleek Hill, a town that organizes several nice festivals each year, is definitely a must. Step-dancing and Squaredancing Competition takes place here in July, Vankleek Hill Fair in August, and Victorian Christmas Home Tour in November. It is worth adding that the last festival is associated with the city's main attraction - magnificent Victorian -style houses . Tourists are also attracted by the beautiful murals that can be seen on the walls of historic buildings in the center.

After saturating all senses with contact with the unspoiled nature in Réserve faunique des Laurentides, rested and happy, we can return to civilization. And Montreal itself is waiting for us - to get from Quebec to Montreal, we will have to cover 254 km. Montreal is the second largest city in Canada and the largest seaport in the eastern part of the country. It is situated on the island of the same name (Il de Montreal) and several smaller islets east of the confluence of the Ottawa and Saint Lawrence rivers.
