Near Bournemouth, one of the English favorite seaside resorts, is a town famous for its 1000-year-old ruins. It is called Corfe Castle, and will tell more than one story to eager people. In the immediate vicinity of Bournemouth, southwest of London, lies the small town of Corfe Castle. Above it there is a chalk hill of the same name, and on it there are unusual ruins. These are not the ordinary remains of one of the many castles that have suffered from the turmoil of history - they are more than a thousand years old.

ORESUND - COPEHAGA - HELSINGOR - SORO. ROUTE 200 km. We start our tour of Denmark from Copenhagen, which can be reached almost directly from the bridge over the Oresund. Copenhagen obtained city rights in the mid-thirteenth century, although the city had already existed 100 years earlier. Copenhagen is a city of bicycles, there are here and, as we shall see, in Denmark, probably millions. Wherever you look, there are two circles. There are even separate lanes for them. Traveling around the city on two wheels is certainly easier than on four wheels. Wherever you look, bikes to the right, left or in front of you everywhere. Not surprisingly, many streets are pedestrianized.

Inverters are devices that allow you to convert the current from the battery (12 V or 24 V) to that flowing from a household socket (230 V). It is obvious that this type of device will work in a motorhome or caravan. But it can be useful even in an "ordinary" passenger car. Since having an inverter makes sense, maybe it is enough to go to the store and simply buy such a device? Actually, yes, but it is worth taking into account that, for example, Waeco - the most popular brand in Poland offering equipment for tourist vehicles - has ... 16 models in its offer. So how do you make the right choice?.

We buy an inverter - what to pay attention to?

For the widest circle of caravanning fans, the limit remains the vehicle weight within the limits of the driving license category B. In the category of vehicles with a GVM of 3.5 tons, the family of Hymer compact models is complemented by ultra-light novelties. Hymer boasted a few weeks ago selling 150,000 motorhomes. There would be nothing extraordinary about it, if not for the fact that this result applies only to models whose weight in running order (full fuel tank and also a clean water tank) is less than 3,000 kg. A load capacity of 500 kg is a fairly decent result in the 3.5-tonne GVM class, but you know - the appetites are much greater. And it is precisely with the much greater needs of customers in mind that very light motorhomes were advertised.

ROUTE 150 km. Nourished with a solid breakfast at our lovely hosts, we continue our journey. The further away from Krosno the snow flashes in places. We go to Rymanów, more specifically to Zdrój :), where winter shows its claws more and more. It seems to be in the plus of 8 degrees, but the snow and ice are at their best here - you have to be careful where and how you tread. We cut to Komancza via Szczawne. A picturesque road on gentle hills, so we do not complain about the lack of views. We know Szczawne, Komańcza, Cisna from the summer season, now we are just passing through to find ourselves in real hills as soon as possible. This is not the case as soon as possible, because already in Komańcza, slush begins to accumulate on the roads, and the more you go to the east. Above 700 m, there is already regular snow with specific ruts on the road. It's good that we are on winter tires. We reach the first pass behind Cisna. We get to the parking lot, but not too deep, because there is practically no car traffic - we passed 3 from Cisna. We make a cup of coffee, something sweet, and here, as if from Marszałkowska, everyone broke off - every minute a car is squeezed into a currently small (not snow-free) parking lot. Okay, then we'll check what attracts them all here - a wonderful panorama :).

IDEA FOR A WEEKEND - Bieszczady

A spontaneous trip without a planned route turned out to be a two-week trip to Istria and the Garda. Our goal was not a specific place in Europe, but to test our new Opel Vivaro called Vivek and to test new camping accessories. While the temperatures in Poland dropped below 15˚C, and snow fell in the Tatra Mountains, we went south in search of the sun. We bought vignettes before the Polish-Czech border. They cost us: Czech (1 month) PLN 96 and Austrian (2 months) PLN 136, but it is cheaper to buy them abroad, then we would pay PLN 22 less for the Czech vignette and PLN 30 less for the Austrian vignette.

A two-week trip to Istria and Lake Garda

The last Caravan Salon 2015 fair was held at the Hymer stand under the slogan of strengthening cooperation with the Mercedes-Benz factory. So the one for whom a motorhome is to be synonymous with comfort and safety was not disappointed. The history of cooperation between the two companies is long, because the first Hymermobil made its debut in 1971. It was then based on the legendary Mercedes-Benz L 508 D chassis and was the first example of a luxury house on wheels with a length of almost 8 meters in the caravanning industry (in Europe). The luxury S-Class models have been based on the Sprinter since the mid-1990s. Over the years, there have been more and more varieties of motorhomes of different lengths, but for off-road fans a typical integrated with the Hymer logo did not guarantee the desired bravery in the field.

Giethoorn was born as the first Dutch settlement established in a peat basin. Over time, it turned into a town based on islets linked together by over 175 bridges and bridges. You don't have to go to Venice to be able to sail around the city by boat. There is also no need to condemn yourself to squeezing through the crowds of tourists, so associated with the famous Italian city. The Dutch town of Giethoorn is much calmer and cut by a network of water canals. To get to know them, we have to go to the province of Overijssel, located in the eastern part of the country of windmills.

GRYBÓW - ROPA - FLOWER - SMEREKOWIEC - GŁADYSZÓW - MAŁASTOWSKA PASS - BARTNE - FOLUSZ - JASŁO. ROUTE 200 km. You can also camp in winter. Some mountains have not hurt anyone yet. As there is a long way to the Bieszczady Mountains, we stop for the night in Mszana Dolna in the parking lot behind the Commune Office near the church, from where we head east in the morning. Before Nowy Sącz, we can admire the panorama of the Tatra Mountains - the visibility is quite good, the so-called "las palmas" shines :).

Friday, August 21, strikes 9:00 am, I get up, there are several hundred kilometers ahead of us to cover the first day, so I gave myself some sleep. A quick coffee for scrambled eggs and the final preparations are coming, all in all, there is a lot of work ahead of me, and the time is running out. Unpacked, because I spent the whole week at work from morning to evening, alternating with preparing the bus for the trip. The traveling lifestyle and frequent trips, whether it's for a bicycle competition or a typical travel one, have taught me to pack quickly and minimalist, also 3 boxers, 3 T-shirts, 3 pairs of socks ... well, no exaggeration, this time we are going by bus. I'm going to go crazy, a few pairs of socks, a few t-shirts, a few pairs of panties, photographic equipment, trekking equipment, ready to go. Packed, I start cleaning the interior, which I did not manage to do the day before, in addition, I start packing all this stuff, in the form of food, water, tools, etc., inside Tripi. In the meantime, I am waiting for the arrival of the rest of the crew: Asia, Dominika and Łukasz, as Daniel is still at work, we pick him up on the way. This time we have a 5-person bus crew, a total of 6, including Barry, a travel dog (which he only became after the expedition), whom Daniel took from the shelter in May.
