When we realize the wealth of tourist attractions it offers, it is no wonder why some, despite so many different options, regularly spend their holidays in this country.

Peaceful holiday in Aquitaine

The waters of the Baltic Sea cover numerous islands - both large and tiny, also uninhabited. Ignoring man-made boundaries, the waves blissfully break off the shores of different countries. Several of these islands belong to Denmark, and you can say something interesting about each of them. It is worth remembering that this beautiful country of all islands has over 440. When planning a vacation in Denmark in terms of active recreation, it is worth considering a trip to the Danish islands. However, it does not necessarily have to be Amager or Zealand, where Copenhagen is located. Nor does it have to be Bornholm, where you can visit sights, windsurf, ride horses, rock climbing, and admire butterflies in the large tropical butterfly park greenhouse on the outskirts of Nexø. An ideal place for a vacation can be, for example, the third largest Danish island, Lolland , connected by a motorway tunnel and bridges to another - Falster . Both attract golfers. They tempt with six beautifully situated courses, moreover, one, 18-hole course, also has the neighboring island, Møn. The main attraction of the latter, however, is not the golf course, but the limestone cliff, Møns Klint, which along with the other cliff, Stevns Klint (Zealand), is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Those for whom a vacation without exploring the traces of the past is not a vacation, will be satisfied with a stay in this part of Denmark - a lot of sightseeing awaits them, including a walk around Halskov Vænge on Falster Island, a unique opportunity to see the oldest and at the same time the best preserved chamber graves in Denmark.

Salzburger Land is a land situated between East Tyrol, Carinthia, Styria and Upper Austria, named after its salt deposits. Its landscapes consist mainly of mountain peaks, caves, forests, gorges and waterfalls as well as beautiful, crystal clear mountain lakes. Thousands of tourists visit the Salzburger Land (Salzburger Land) at any time of the year. In winter, skiers besiege the routes of Europa Sportregion and other resorts, and in spring and summer, until late autumn, the routes are filled with crowds of visitors. They come to the Land with their whole families to travel through it on foot and by bike. No wonder - it is beautiful and rich in attractions, it is tempting. It is especially liked by lovers of two wheels, on which kilometers of routes await, including the wonderful route in the footsteps of Mozart, stretching 450 km from Salzburg, where the famous composer lived, to Zell am See, which attracts vacationers with the surface of the lake.

The Pays de la Loire is a region in western France made up of five departments: Loire Atlantic, Maine-et-Loire, Mayenne, Sarthe and the Vendee. Among the attractions that await tourists there are magnificent castles, monasteries, small villages and a beautiful coast divided into dozens of picturesque beaches. When you add excellent regional cuisine and wine from countless vineyards to this, we get a recipe for the holiday of a lifetime. The capital of the Loire-Atlantic department is Nantes . It is situated on the river, 50 km from the Atlantic Ocean. Although it is the sixth most populous center in France, we will not encounter crowds or noise there. In the past, Nantes was closely associated with the sea. Unfortunately, not always for glorious reasons - until the 19th century it was one of the largest European ports sending ships full of slaves from Africa to America. In 2013, it was awarded the title of the Green Capital of Europe .

Shadows and glows of the Pays de la Loire

West Balaton is an attractive region for tourists, thanks to not only (but mainly) the beautiful lake, which is the largest water reservoir in Central Europe. Mud Lake, as it is called Balaton, each year attracts crowds of holidaymakers who want to enjoy all the attractions that are associated with a stay by the water. For Poles living in the south of the country, it is closer to the "Hungarian sea" than to ours, the Baltic Sea. At the same time, Lake Balaton is relatively close to the border with Croatia and Slovenia, so it is easy to get the impression that we are almost in the south of Europe. A little more and we will be welcomed by the Mediterranean Sea.

Holidays in Spain are mainly associated with relaxation on the beach and parties in crowded resorts. However, this country is not only sun, sand and passionate dancing - it is also beautiful, although a bit harsh mountains and green valleys, the bottoms of which are leisurely carved by rivers with gentle curves. This is the perfect camping spot in Spain . Such landscapes can be found in the heart of Spain, not far from bustling Madrid. The capital of Spain, the pearl of the Castilian Plateau, attracts tourists all year round, tempting with a multitude of attractions. It would be difficult to get to know them all in one day, even if spent very intensively. Because you also need to see the Royal Palace, take a walk through the Sabatini Gardens, and look at the buildings surrounding Plaza Mayor, the former heart of the city. It is worth paying attention to the architecture of Madrid's main street, Gran Via, the end of which is crowned by Plaza de España with the statue of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza.

If not Madrid, then what?

Les Orres is a small but very picturesque French ski station. It is located in close proximity to the village of Embrun, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. The proximity of Lake Serre-Ponçon and the surrounding larch forests, combined with the gradually increasing number of well-prepared ski slopes, ensure the station's interest in tourists. It is approximately 1,860 km away from Warsaw. By car, this distance can be covered in approximately 20 hours. When planning a vacation in Les Orres , you need to be prepared that it will be difficult to take advantage of all the attractions offered by the resort. There may simply not be enough time for it. 101 km of slopes of all levels of difficulty await skiers - gentle and easy in the lower parts of the mountains (making it an ideal ski resort for beginners) and demanding in the higher ones, including the red Grand Cabane running between forests, almost 6 km long. There are smaller slopes at Les Orres 1800 , ideal for driving lessons. At an altitude of more than 2,000 m above sea level, there are ambitious routes that should not be used by people without experience. It is an area of quite long routes, mostly red, running from the mountain ridge to the station itself. While hiking on Clos Deguis, Bergerie, Boussolenc or Myrtilles, apart from the next sips of adrenaline, you can focus on admiring the valley with its villages and the mirror of Serre-Ponçon Lake. It is better to concentrate on the most difficult route of the resort, the famous L'Horrible ("Terrifying") or the black Pousterle, which is used in organizing international competitions. In addition to the ski runs served by 22 lifts, the station offers an ice rink, a toboggan run and a snow park with a boardercross track, snowmobile riding, paragliding and climbing frozen waterfalls. There are also restaurants and pubs, the resort also has a disco and a cinema.

Alicante is a Spanish province that attracts millions of tourists every year. People from different countries come here tempted by the vision of relaxing on the golden sand of beaches grazed by turquoise water. It is also eagerly visited by those in love, who are waiting for a lot of charming nooks and hidden coves. But with all this, Alicante also has something else to offer, equally attractive. It is difficult to say which of the beaches of this part of the coast should be crowned with the most beautiful. La Granadella , located in the northern part of the Costa Blanca, twice awarded the title of the most magnificent beach in Spain, can certainly stand in the competition. Rocky, yet popular among sunbathers. Diving and snorkeling enthusiasts also like it - the water is not only warm, but also crystal clear, which makes it easy to see shoals of colorful fish sneaking over the sea grass. In summer, the beach is crowded, so it's best to go there in the morning to be able to count on a vacancy. In the morning, it is also worth going to Levante beach - getting off early in the morning will reward you with a wonderful sunrise that can be admired there. It is a beach popular with fans of water skiing, sailing and paragliding. Together with Benidorm's second beach, Poniente , it enjoys a warm microclimate provided by the mountains, protecting the bay from cold wind blows. Families with children like El Portet , a beach in Moraira, hidden in a cove sheltered by cliffs. You can see Peñon de Ifach, a characteristic rock rising out of the water near the Calpe resort. The water here is calm, clear and joyfully blue, so children can splash safely in it. The same is true of Santa Pola , a beach located next to traditional fisheries. Its bars and restaurants are famous for their fish dishes.

Alicante - Spain seen from the mountains

It must be amazing - to stand on the shore of the European land, knowing that you are standing in front of a huge ocean, immeasurable amounts of water, and the nearest dry land behind it is the American continent stretching far and wide. This water is the Atlantic Ocean, and the European land on which we stand is the rocky cape Pointe du Raz, located in Brittany, in the north-west of France. Brittany is a picturesque region full of romance, a bit mysterious and raw. Capricious when it comes to weather. With a Catholic tradition deeply rooted in history and culture - pilgrimages, indulgences, a large number of regional saints, countless chapels and stone roadside crosses, as well as calvaries (sculptures carved in stone). Holidays in Brittany will be a great time for lovers of the countryside and green areas (including pastures), party people may be rather bored. There are many tiny towns in the region that look as if time had stopped there. Tourists' eyes glide with pleasure over stone houses decorated with flowers hanging from balconies and window sills.

Twelve is the number of Aveyron, a department located in the Midi-Pyrénées region in the south of France. The region covers the middle of the Pyrenees chain and the Garonne Valley, further north. This is the department where one of the most famous wild children, Victor, was found. In 1970, "Wolfboy of Aveyron" became the protagonist of "L'Enfant sauvage", a French film about an unusual find almost 75 years ago. How can you start this part  , where, apart from resting, guests can relax, swim or explore the area on foot. For motorists, it is a great starting point to the places described above. The beauty of number 12 - Aveyron

What is associated with Denmark? Of course, Legoland and you do not have to be a parent of toddlers who would very much like to go to a town made of millions of bricks. More than one adult will have a great time here, forgetting about age or position. Anyway, we are all children in our souls - some only need to be reminded of this. The Danish Legoland is the perfect place for that. The famous block town is located in Billund, in the southern part of the country. It is the largest park of this type in the world (it covers an area of 14 hectares), it is also the oldest of all Legolands. Annually, it is visited by about 1.8 million tourists, which makes the park the largest tourist attraction in Denmark outside Copenhagen. It's a great place for a family trip - Legoland Billund is divided into several thematic lands, so everyone will find something for themselves. There are several dozen types of cable cars (including a 30-meter long roller coaster), and various carousels, slides and miniatures of buildings such as the Royal Palace or the stadium of FC Copenhagen. This is only a fraction of the attractions, because there are still cinemas with 5D technology, observation towers, balloon boats, a mini-town where you can pass the driving test (unfortunately, the driver's license after such a course is valid only in Legoland), pirate island, house fears ... It takes a long time to exchange, and you will forget about something. Is it any wonder that the block amusement park attracts like a magnet? In Danish, "Leg godt" means "Have fun", but "good" is definitely not enough for such a huge dose of joy and adrenaline. If you are not on your way to Denmark, you can visit the closer Legoland and go on a trip to Germany .
