It not only warms you up quickly, but also puts you in a good mood, especially if it's Swiss chocolate. Versoix is a Swiss resort located near Geneva, famous for its chocolate factory. Thermophilic people will probably not like it - every few years this part of Lake Geneva's coast (right bank) is taken over by a strong wind. Like the breath of the Snow Queen, it blows everything it encounters on its way, creating unusual shapes in the ice and stopping time. The sight of frosty streets and objects is beautiful, but some people prefer to see it only in photos while drinking chocolate and sitting under a warm blanket.

Kroměříž is one of the most beautiful cities in the Czech Republic. Located in Moravia, in the area of eastern Moravia, although small, it has so many attractions that it would be enough for a few larger centers. Christian priests were supposed to serve and lead others while remaining humble and poor. The bishops of Olomouc certainly did not follow this principle when they founded Kroměříž in the 13th century. From the very beginning, the huge, monumental summer residence, which was slowly being built, was to be a reflection of their wealth and strength. In Kromeriz itself, there are also buildings that are far from modest and austere. But it is this splendor and momentum of the episcopal city that attracts tourists today.

In the West-Friesland region, in the province of North Holland, we find a town called Enkhuizen. It is the most popular port in the northern part of the IJsselmeer, the largest lake in the Netherlands. In the past, the main industry of Enkhuizen was fishing, now - tourism. In summer, ferries run regularly between it and the towns of Urk and Stavoren, and thanks to rail connections, the resort is well connected with, among others, with Amsterdam. Agriculture still plays an important role in it, especially the cultivation of ornamental flowers.

It was here that the dreamers were last seen wanting to ascend to heaven like Icarus. Did the sea beat them stubbornly on the chalk rock? Did you not have enough strength to face the ocean wind?. Étretat is a nice, small town that we can visit while passing through the French department of Seine-Martime. It is situated on the English Channel, on the Alabaster Coast (Côte d'Albâtre). The Seine-Martime region is particularly picturesque. The chalk cliffs, which give the coast its poetic name, have been attracting tourists for years. They create jagged cliffs that cut into the sea sharply, and at high tide they fight it fiercely. In turn, the outflow reveals the beach, from which you can perfectly see the rock formations most often captured in the pictures - the arch named Falaise d'Amont and the aggressively protruding headland, Falaise d'Aval . The latter is somewhat reminiscent of a French schoolgirl who, half-timidly, half-coquettishly, soaks her foot in water.

If someone would like to see lilies of the valley not as small, timid flowers, but trees, he should get to know laurel forests. They grow up over La Gomera, an island where people communicate by whistling. La Gomera is one of the most beautiful sisters of the Canary Islands archipelago. You can get there by ferry from Tenerife, and there are three bus lines (four times a day) on the island itself. Lovers of long walks will love it - there are dozens of km of trails and over 30 viewpoints to climb.

Mirabilandia - the name itself promises great fun. It is worn by the largest Italian amusement park located in Ravenna, where - according to the creators - guests will find 30% of entertainment, 20% of adrenaline and 40% of relaxation. Mirabilandia is the largest amusement park in the Adriatic with a lot of attractions, and at the same time the second most visited facility of its kind in Italy. We will spend the whole day in it, and in the second (and third) there will be plenty to do. An adult will pay 29.90 euros for admission, while a child's ticket costs 24.90 euros.

In Uniejów, the Latin phrase "Sanus per aquam" ("Health through water") should be understood literally. Apart from the thermal swimming pool complex, the resort also tempts with contact with Indians and medieval knights. In spring, Uniejów is visited by Indians who come to it for the POW-POW-POW-POW-POW-POW-POW-American Indian Music and Dance Festival, and in the summer, the Indian Summer is held here - the Festival of Aleja im. Sat-Okha. Those who prefer chain mail, helmets and swords instead of tomahawks and plumes, should come to Uniejów for the Knight's Tournament in July, and in August - to the Medieval Fair.

Sea lovers will love the oldest district of Scilla. In Chianalea they will rest, calm down and relax with the sound of the waves. They will relax while walking along the narrow streets. They will spend wonderful evenings with a glass of wine and live music. Lying on the Calabrian coast, between the slopes of the Aspromonte massif and the Tyrrhenian Sea, Scilla boasts many advantages that have been tempting tourists for years. The most important of these is Chianalea, the oldest district of the resort, also known as Acquagrande or Canales. The second term comes from architecture - small houses that form it, built directly on the rocks, are separated from each other by small alleys resembling channels going straight to the sea.

In 2014, it was called the European Capital of Culture. Riga, because we are talking about it, is a city with a population of 700,000 and a large number of monuments. Most of them are located in the UNESCO-protected old part and we can easily get to know them in one day. The capital of Latvia is a multicultural center, and - which is extremely important - Latvians do not constitute the majority of citizens. Tourists who know Russian will probably use it more than English. The main square of Riga is the Cathedral Square with the temple, which we can admire today in the form given at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. During the renovation, among others, cockerel from the top of the tower and renovated interiors. You can see beautiful stained glass windows and listen to a 30-minute concert on an organ with 7,000 pipes. The entrance ticket to the Rīgas Doms (cathedral) costs 3 euros. From the top of the tower there is a wonderful view of the entire city.

Linz cannot compete with Vienna in terms of tourist attractions, but it has many advantages. It is the city of astronomer Johann Kepler, the center where many of Mozart's works were created, and a place to visit the Museum of the Future. The Ars Elektronica festival takes place every year in the Austrian city of Linz, attracting artists from all over the world who create their works in digital technologies. During the event, Prix Ars Electronica prizes are awarded in seven categories, including computer animation and electronic music.

What is Stavanger associated with? With the European Capital of Culture 2008, or maybe with heavy metal music? With great conditions for winter sports? Or maybe with fjords that only a really brave tourist will conquer?. The colder and whiter in any part of the world, the darker creatures you can meet there. It fits very well to the north of Europe, where a lot of black-, death- or even folk metal bands come from. A good example is the Norwegian city of Stavanger, where groups such as Sirenia and the Theater of Tragedy, Kvelertak and Gehenna were born.

In the heart of Gothenburg, in close proximity to Kungsportsavenyen, there is a huge tourist attraction. It is huge both in terms of its size and the popularity it enjoys among people visiting the Swedish city. This is Trädgårdsföreningen (Gothenburg Gardeners' Union City Park), one of the best-preserved 19th-century parks in Europe. Its founder was the Swedish king Charles XIV Jan, and its originator was Henric Elof von Normann, an amateur botanist. Many people will break their tongues on the name, but it still doesn't scare anyone away.
