Abruzzo is an extremely interesting area of central-eastern Italy, known as the green region of Europe. It stretches from the Adriatic Sea to the peaks of the Apennines. The coast of Abruzzo on the Adriatic Sea has as many as 130 km of sandy beaches . The islands lie in the northeastern part of Italy , between the mainland and the Adriatic Sea. The Venetian Lagoon stretches between two rivers: Sile and Brenta. For millennia, this place was formed by great alpine rivers - Piave, Sile, Brenta and Adige, depositing on the seabed masses of silt and sand brought from the mountains.

The main city of the lowland is Grosseto. There are also tourist resorts worth seeing - Marina di Grosseto, Principina a Mare, Castiglione della Pescaia, Punta Ala and Punta Talamone. The Maremma region is a charming and diverse landscape, with a 130-kilometer coastline with beaches, pine forests, stone shores and numerous coves that serve as tourist marinas . This region is also distinguished by its great historical value - you can find plenty of archaeological sites dating back to the times of ancient Rome.
