However, the people were stubborn and decided to take it from the sea - at least partially. In the 1920s, they constructed the famous 11 km-long Hindenburg Causeway and ran it along a railway line. They didn't even mind that the island was only a few hundred meters wide in some places.

In the distant past, Leipzig was a tiny Slavic settlement, while today it is one of the largest centers of industry and trade, not in Poland, not in Lithuania or even in Slovakia, but in the territory of today's East Germany. Compared to other great German metropolises, Leipzig (German: Leipzig) was fortunate enough not to suffer too much during World War II. As a result, the 19th- and 20th-century architecture has been preserved in very good condition. Its old part each year attracts thousands of tourists to the city who want to get to know one of the first universities in Europe and two magnificent historic religious buildings, one of which houses the tomb of Johann Sebastian Bach.
