But even if the RV is left unused, it also damages the tires. If you haven't used your camper or caravan during the winter, check the tires carefully before your first trip in the season. If they have been exposed to frost (or the sun) for a long time, they may have bulges or cracks . To protect the tires from the harmful effects of weather conditions, it is best to cover them during longer stops . In the case of trailers, it is a good idea to remove the wheels when not in use.

On the other side of the Mediterranean Sea is a huge continent, still alien and exotic to most Europeans. Its largest country is Algeria, with hectares of deserts and semi-deserts. Algeria is a country that has a lot to offer tourists, although at the same time "difficult", both due to the political situation and the fact that it is a relatively conservative country in terms of religion. Foreigners must comply with the rules in force therein, incl. women are not allowed to enter some temples, they are also not allowed to appear in public in inappropriate clothing (e.g. bathing suit, bare knees and shoulders, etc.).

Although the Italian Arca offers well-equipped motorhomes, their biggest distinguishing feature is their attractive appearance. And because we like to drive cars that look good, Arca could probably count on interest also in Poland. In Italy, Arca is almost synonymous with a motorhome. It all started in the mid-1950s, when the idea came to take the wheels off the caravan and install the living area on the truck chassis. It took several years to transform the idea into a specific product, and finally, in 1961, the Arca Noe model was presented at the Genoa Boat Show.

The fourth largest commercial port in Europe is located on the Black Sea in Romania. It is a famous and increasingly popular tourist destination, and it is called Constana. A long time ago, the Roman elegic and poet Ovid was exiled to Romanian Constana and spent the last years of his life there. Today it is hard to believe that a stay in this beautiful seaside resort could be a punishment for anyone. Constana is Romania's second largest city, and as a port connected to the Danube, it is the main transit hub for the Danube countries.

The biggest novelty is the design - for the first time such a large vehicle was made of carbon fiber. Americans like to surprise by building things even bigger and more innovative than anyone else. The CR-1 Carbon trailer, developed by Global Caravan Technologies, is the best example of this. The key word in this case is "carbon". The CR-1 trailer would probably not be such a sensation if it was a small trailer. Here, however, we are talking about a vehicle that measures over 10 meters ! How to produce carbon fiber walls and a roof, developing the material to such monstrous dimensions, remains a company secret for the time being.

Wandering around Thailand, we have the opportunity to see breathtaking landscapes - blue water like nowhere else, white and powdery sand, as well as delicious temples and modern buildings. Nature lovers will fall in love with the richness of the local forests, the magic of the lagoons and the romanticism of the coves. In addition, they will fall in love at first sight with the country's oldest national park - Khao Yai . The park in question is one of the most magnificent protected areas in the world. It is located approximately 250 km northeast of Thailand's capital, Bangkok, and includes mountainous areas and vast jungle areas. There are approx. 2 thousand. plants, including lush ferns, lofty palm trees, and fluffy mosses.

Without a functional battery in the caravan, it will not be possible to rest, and in the case of a motorhome, even the journey itself will not be possible. That is why batteries in camping vehicles should be carefully looked after. In the case of a motorhome, we will deal with two types of batteries - the first is the starter battery , which must quickly provide a large amount of energy to the engine in order to start it. For this reason, such a battery will have a different structure and parameters than the utility battery. The latter is installed in the residential parts of motorhomes and caravans, and its role is to supply power to on-board devices.

Taking advantage of the sunny and warm as at the end of October Sunday, we decided to use the last rays of the autumn sun and take a small package to the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, or rather to its northern part, near Złoty Potok. Our plans include visiting the ruins of the castle in Ostrężnik, the ruins of the castle in Mirów, and at the end of the day making a fire and eating sausages. At 12 o'clock the bus was already fully loaded and in the composition of Dominik, Bartek, Maciek, Alicja and Marek we headed towards the Jura. On the way we stopped in Biedronka for a little shopping, and immediately after that we went to our first point of the trip, i.e. to Ostrężnik for sightseeing castle ruins. The ruins are located on a small hill, which we climbed quickly and efficiently and started exploring, e.g. Maciej decided to visit the Ostrężnicka Cave there, where, as he later told and showed photos, he saw bats and numerous spiders, so it's good that I was not tempted by go in there. Alicja and Marek disappeared from our sight somewhere for a moment, and Bartek and I took pictures and admired the view from above, which presented a typical autumn landscape, where we did not look, the leaves formed a brown-gold carpet on the ground. Unfortunately, this "carpet" turned out to be very tricky, because it hid stones under it, on which it was easy to trip and fall. It was unfortunate that Maciej, jumping off the wall, unfortunately fell on such a stone, hidden under the leaves, which was additionally wet and twisted his ankle. It was not without dizziness and a momentary rest, but after a few moments Maciej returned to the living and the boys took their friend by the arm and together they dragged him down to the bus, where the ankle got relief in the form of ice, and for Maciek the sightseeing was over but he could get to know Tripi better, as he spent most of the day there, although he had nothing to complain about as he lay comfortably back on the couch. After treating the ankle, we went to another place to visit the ruins of the castle, this time in Mirów. We took some photos on the spot, we climbed the rocks, we drank warm tea until the sun started to slowly set.

With the sad reputation of the poorest country in Europe, Moldova is slowly being discovered by tourists. It fully deserves attention, repaying it with wonderful landscapes in the silence of the fields. Moldova is not only a country of grapevines, but also an attractive tourist country, despite its poverty. The landscape consists of vineyards, hectares of fields stretching gently to the horizon and colorfully decorated wells standing by the roads. Driving from Ukraine towards Romania, we can stop for a moment in several places worth visiting.

The motorhome of the year 2014 - part II

On Friday, April 25, Grzegorz Sroka and Artur Samborski left Wawel for an extraordinary journey - around Poland in 10 days. And it would not be a great feat if it were not for the fact that they want to do it while driving the Syrena 105 towing a trailer from Niewiadow. The 105L Syrena comes from 1976. The Polish caravan from Niewiadów attached to it is younger. Comparing it with the age of the Syrena, it was produced quite recently, in ... 1986. Two automotive enthusiasts decided to prove that such a set can drive 3,000. km in 1.5 weeks. They set off on tour early in the morning on April 25, and planned their return to Krakow on May 4.

Hospitable guesthouse owners, beautiful views, sun and beach - in other words, the charms of southern Dalmatia. All this can be found on the picturesque island of Korcula. The May weekend is getting closer and it's high time to decide where to spend it this year. Maybe with friends for a barbecue, or maybe with family on a short trip abroad? If we are more inclined to the second option, one of the ideas worth considering is a trip to Croatia, to the island of Korcula (Korčula). Keanu Reeves fans will surely remember the 1995 movie "Walk in the Clouds" . The romantic production was filmed in Californian vineyards, where mist spread over them in the morning, wrapping them in a milky duvet (hence the title). But you don't have to go all the way to Pasadena to be able to walk in the clouds - literally and figuratively. On the European continent, and more specifically in Croatia, we find mountain passes stretching above the cloud line. Driving them provides an amazing experience, and the farther, the more beautiful. When you go down the serpentines meandering around the mountains and in the mountains themselves, there is a vastness of azure water interspersed with small, charming islands in front of your eyes.
