Caravanning in Poland is growing in strength. The best proof is this year's Caravanning Salon in Poznań. Below, we present only a few selected brands - those that interested us the most and surprised us most pleasantly. Campers, caravans, caravanning equipment, and even toys (e.g. models of motorhomes and caravans) - all this can be seen in Poznań on 27-30 March. Most of the stands were attended by Camprest.com representatives who talked with the owners and representatives of companies about their offer this year, experiences and plans for the future.

On the one hand, this year's Caravanning Salon in Poznań is a success - a large number of exhibitors, a large number of vehicles on display, many new companies (not only at the fair, but also on the Polish market). At the same time, it's hard to resist the impression that this event needs a newer, fresher formula. Let's start with the pluses, because there are many of them. When visiting the exhibitors' stands, talking to owners and employees of companies related to caravanning, it was hard for me to resist the impression that a lot has changed for the better during the year. Some still complain that the market in Poland is difficult, that the sale of new motorhomes and caravans is weak, that it is only a bit better in renting camping vehicles and selling used vehicles. From the same conversations, however, there is a hope that I did not sense during the talks a year ago. And it's not just about words, but facts.

A living room full of swallows

Every year around 1.3 million tourists visit southern Bavaria to see the "fairy tale castle". It stands proudly on a rock, catching everyone's eye. This is the nineteenth-century Neuschwanstein castle, the most famous of the castles of Ludwig II. Where is the most visited European castle located, which is the inspiration for the project of the Castle of Sleeping Beauty in Disneyland? In Germany, and more specifically in southern Bavaria. It is called Neuschwanstein and stands in a place with a magnificent view of three lakes: Alpsee, Forggensee and Bannwaldsee. The castle is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Germany, it is also the most famous of all the castles of the Bavarian King Ludwig II Wittelsbach.

Among the 13 variants of the Hobby De Luxe caravan, probably everyone would be able to find something for themselves. Especially the longest version, measuring almost 8.5 meters, may be appealing. A large amount of space combined with well-thought-out equipment makes it easy to feel at home in this caravan. For the 2014 season, the German manufacturer decided to optimize the weight of its trailers. The new De Luxe caravans are narrower and lighter , which, however, did not affect the feeling of spaciousness in the interior.

The Motor Show 2014 in Poznań begins on March 27. This time the automotive industry will show its feminine face. The City of Women and the Miss Moto competition are two new points on the program. Even a car that can be won is sometimes described as "female". Every year, you can win a car during the Motor Show. This time it will be a Fiat 500 . The car has a chance to reach the visitor who will fill in the competition coupon posted in the "Motor Show Magazyn". Then, the drawn people will be able to take part in the finals, during which you will have to show reflexes, orientation and dexterity. The person with the best results will leave Poznań by car.

In the Bavarian Alps, nestled in a charming valley, hides the beautiful Royal Lake. It resembles a Scandinavian fjord, and a cruise on its waters is one of the greatest attractions of the region. Germany has much more tourist attractions to offer than the average tourist might think. One of such gems is undoubtedly Königssee, the King's Lake, the cleanest and second deepest lake in Germany. It is located southeast of Munich, hiding its beauty in the steep slopes of the surrounding mountain peaks. Apparently, it was once very liked by Ewa Braun.

Autocruise is one of the many brands belonging to the British Swift group. Autocruise is responsible within the concern only for the adaptation of camping vans to the needs. A new feature is a new equipment variant - Carrera 4. Autocruise motorhomes are based on the Peugeot Boxer or - optionally - on the Fiat Ducato. Basic versions cost in Great Britain from less than 41 thousand. pounds to over 51 thousand. pounds. There are 7 Autocruise models available. There are varieties with sleeping places for two, three and four people. Two shorter models - Rhythm Compact and Jazz - measure 5.41 meters each. Rytm, Accent and Alto measure 6 meters. The permissible total weight of the shorter versions is 3,300 kg, and the longer versions are 3,500 kg.

In the sunniest region of Slovenia there is an important scientific and economic center - Maribor. The city is famous for wine-making, and is also home to the oldest grapevine in the world. When visiting Slovenia, it is worth stopping for a moment (or longer) in the city known as Maribor. It is located in the sunniest area of this small country, which means that sightseeing usually takes place in a very favorable aura.

On the Lance brand website, I go to the "Campers" tab. However, I don't see pictures of motorhomes there. Instead, photographs of the superstructures with a characteristic, long "beak" are presented. Americans have a completely different approach to caravanning than Europeans. In Europe, either caravans or small vans with camping bodies are eagerly bought. The United States, on the other hand, is famous for its powerful camping buses and less demanding in terms of budget, built-up pickups. Such buildings are sold under the Lance brand. The company does not sell complete cars, only a living area that needs to be attached to your pickup truck. The "bow" mentioned at the beginning is an alcove placed above the roof of the driver's cabin - it is able to accommodate a large double bed. Currently, the offer includes 11 versions of the body , and the differences between the individual models are significant.

The largest Polish automotive fair - Motor Show 2014 will be visited by 100 thousand. people - at least that's what the organizers assume. During the four days of the fair, you will be able to visit the stands of 200 exhibitors. Once again, the car showroom will be accompanied by additional showrooms: motorcycle and caravanning. Lovers of motorhomes, caravans and people interested in tourist accessories should not miss this year's Caravanning Salon. Their stands were announced, among others Euramobil (German producer of motorhomes), McLouis (Italian producer of motorhomes), Burstner (German producer of caravans and motorhomes), Niewiadów (Polish producer of caravans and motorhomes) and Caravelair (French producer of caravans).

The Geneva International Motor Show is always full of concept cars. Although most of them will never go into production, "concept-cars" herald the trends that can be expected in the automotive industry in the coming years. In short, it is from them that we can try to predict the future. Skoda, so far known for its conservative style, surprised the Geneva audience with the Vision C model. Although this car will not go into production, according to brand representatives, it shows the direction in which the design of Skoda cars will go in the coming years. No more modesty, no more consent to play the role of a worse brother of Volkswagen or Audi. Skoda also wants to have a more expressive, emotional style and the Vision C is to be a preview of this. Now we are waiting for evidence that there will be deeds behind bold ideas, and new Skoda models will be available for sale, stylistically referring to the vision marked with the letter C.
