The fact that someone did not manage to visit Ribe at the beginning of May does not mean that there is nothing to visit in the oldest city of the country famous for Lego bricks. On the contrary - apart from organizing the largest Viking rally in Denmark, the town has a lot to offer to tourists. The oldest city in Denmark, Ribe, is also one of the most beautiful. It is situated on the River Ribeå in the western part of South Jutland. It is approx. 5 km away from the North Sea. Most of the medieval buildings have been preserved in it, which is why architecture enthusiasts like to visit them. Hundreds of tourists come to Ribe every summer to feel the spirit of the old days ruled by the Vikings. It houses a faithful reconstruction of the settlement of sea warriors - an open-air museum called Ribe VikingeCenter.

What direction is ideal for an ornithologist trip? It's simple - a reserve with bird habitats. You don't have to travel far abroad to find areas inhabited by various species of birds. Ba! You don't have to go abroad at all. In Poland, we will find at least a few national parks where the enthusiast of observing bird life will lose track of time. One of such places is the Łuknajno Lake in the Masurian Landscape Park. Despite the fact that it remains in the shadow of famous kin (Mamry, Śniardwy), it fully deserves the attention and attention - not only of ornithology fans. The Czech Jicin (Jičín) is a proposition worth considering when planning such a trip. It meets the criteria of a city with a wide range of cultural events and a center in a beautiful location. Every year at the end of July, a unique procession takes place in Liguria. The divers taking part in it lay a wreath at the monument standing on the seabed. In it, they sanctify the patron saint of sailors and divers - Christ of the Abyss. The statues of Christ stand in several places around the world, being a symbol of the city that created them. They look at the area from the tops of the hills, and also ... from under the water surface. One of them rests on the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea, between Camogli and Portofino, about 30 km east of Genoa. It is called Il Cristo degli Abissi (Christ of the Abyss). It is a 2.5-meter bronze sculpture by Guido Galletti, depicting the Savior with his arms raised.

The largest amusement park in Spain is located just off Salou, a resort loved by water sports enthusiasts and families with children. The resort full of attractions has for years attracted tourists to the Costa Dorada - not only the British, encouraged by the proximity of the airport. A dozen or so kilometers from Tarragona and several dozen from Barcelona is Salou, by many called the tourist capital of the Gold Coast. It does not seem exaggerated to call it the pearl of the Costa Dorada, especially when you look at the number of shops and shops, restaurants and hotels that thrive in the resort. When we add to this the pride of the town - the beautiful Playa de Llevant, approx. 1200 meters long and approx. 70 meters wide - multimedia fountains where crowds stand with open mouths and great conditions for sports (not only water sports), we will understand why Salou is so crowded.

If you are a fan of fish dishes, like good wine and ballet, you should visit the island of Vis. At the end of the season, a great ballet concert takes place there with the participation of the International Ballet School. Holidays on Vis are a guarantee of relaxation and beautiful memories. Vis is the ninth largest Croatian island. At the same time, it is the only inhabited island in Dalmatia, which is so far out to sea - it is approximately 45 km from the mainland. In the eighteenth century, its surface was torn by tremendous tremors, then it was burnt with millions of cubic meters of volcanic lava, which in a few years wiped out life on a large part of the island. Today, these areas are home to the unique Timanfaya National Park , also known as the Mountains of Fire (Montañas del Fuego). Every year it is visited by over 1.5 million people.

San Marino is considered the oldest republic in the world. It took its name from Saint Marinus, who founded a Christian community on the top of Monte Titano in 301. It is so tiny that it can be considered not so much a country, but an independent urban complex on the territory of a foreign country - in this case, Italy. The capital of the mini-state of San Marino has the same name. It is an enclave with an unusual number of monuments for such a territorially limited area. The city owes the term "open-air museum" to their richness. The most famous ones include the castle, three towers with the majestic La Cesta standing on the top of Monte Titano, the Basilica of San Marino and Palazzo del Governo - the government palace.

One of the country's most intriguing cities is located in the Alentejo region of southern Portugal. This is Évora, a small tourist center of great historical and cultural value. Évora is neither as famous nor as crowded as, for example, Lisbon, 120 km away, but it undoubtedly has something to be proud of.
