Rhineland-Palatinate - a land flowing with wine
In Rhineland-Palatinate, noble grape-growing areas cover as many as 13 regions. This wonderful land owes its name to the famous wine regions of the Palatinate and the Rhineland Hesse - the areas on the Nahe, Middle Rhine, Moselle and Ahr. The history of Rhineland-Palatinate as a single German state is quite complicated. The turbulent history of this land dates back to Roman times. The single administrative area was created only after the end of World War II. The cities on the Rhine experienced their greatest prosperity in the 19th century. It was connected with trade contacts and the emergence of heavy industry centers. Rhineland-Palatinate is an area that is diverse in terms of culture and history .
