Squeezed between the mountain peaks of the Apennines and the Adriatic Sea, the little region of Abruzzo is one of the wildest places in Italy. The harsh mountain climate has never encouraged people to settle here in large numbers, moreover, after the Second World War, those who lived here decided to leave their towns and villages to look for a better life in big cities. And maybe that is why Abruzzo has not been interested in anyone for a long time. Today, the region finally has its 5 minutes, and a trip to Abruzzo is on the list of every traveler who likes less beaten paths. Why? Perhaps because Abruzia is almost officially called "Europe's greenest region", and more than a third of its area is occupied by national parks. And although during our holidays in Abruzzo we will not find many Michelangelo sculptures or take a gondola ride among the canals, thanks to the ubiquitous nature here, we will certainly recharge our batteries for the entire season! So where to start this magical journey?.

Every two years, when we organize a rally in Niedzica, we try to visit Sokolskie Chaty in Gorlice. It is a lovely spot with two houses for rent. The area is full of interesting places such as the ruins of the Rytro castle, the Castle in Szymbark, the Ethnographic Park in Nowy Sącz, and Stary Sącz. www.sokolskiechaty.pl.

Sardinia is the second largest island in Italy. However, it is often overlooked by tourists traveling to this region of Europe who decide to visit the more popular islands of Greece or Spain. Most ferries to Sardinia reach the port of Olbia, which, in addition to being a transport hub, also serves as a base for exploring the north and east coast of the island. In the province, it is worth stopping in the town of Santa Teresa Gallura , where one of the most difficult fishing techniques is practiced - surfcasting, which consists in casting the bait from the beach far into the sea. It is not far from there to the exclusive Costa Smeralda , which owes its name to the emerald color of the waters surrounding the coast. La Maddalena deserves a separate attention - an archipelago of 62 picturesque islets in which a national park was created.

In spring, places that are crowded in summer are often empty. This is the case in Przeczyce. It is true that there are already a lot of lovers of relaxation in the bosom of nature and there are already trailers, but you can still find a lot of free space here, much more than, for example, on Pogoria IV. We usually enter a designated area from the side of Tuliszów. In high season, entry fees are charged there, they are not too high. Our second place for short trips is the roller in Góra Siewierska, and the third is Rogoźnik. You can fly a paraglider on the roller or just watch how it's done. You can also do off-road, because the conditions are great there and so are the views. Rogoznik is a water reservoir favored by the local population. This time we drove behind the old mill, to the end of the road, and then only gravel. There you can see the ruins of the old mill buildings, and even further, the ruins of the bridge that was destroyed during World War II. Off-road enthusiasts will also find something for themselves. It is worth taking a walk around the area. The road is not the easiest one, because you have to travel to this south-west corner of France for quite a long time, but it pays off, especially when the mighty Pyrenees loom on the horizon, and more and more vineyards begin to appear around us. Yes, it must not be forgotten that this region, famous for its warm and mild climate, has some of the largest vineyards in the world, and wine drinking is as common here as tea drinking here. We have achieved our goal - one of the most historically rooted regions in Europe welcomes us with wonderful, sunny weather - which, it turns out, prevails here for nine months of the year!
