Less than a hundred years ago, Poles constituted almost half of Kaunas's population. Today, there are less than 1% of them, but a native of Poland visiting this beautiful city will feel at home here. It is the largest industrial center in the country, but above all an important cultural center (second only to Vilnius). Perhaps as a child's revenge for moving the capital here in the 15th century, after the city was liberated from the English occupation?.

The vast majority of us, caravanning enthusiasts, are used to the classic approach of manufacturers to designing usable spaces of trailers. The Knaus company, presenting its single-axle model, breaks from known patterns and goes towards modern design - like architects responsible for the design of lofts. The single-axle chassis facilitates maneuvering on the camping field, which is over 7.5 meters long - with a drawbar ( 554 cm of the body's length) and a trailer. From the outside, the front stowage compartment for gas cylinders and touring accessories is striking. At the customer's request, in the Lifestyle model, the drawbar can be covered with a stylish plastic cover - while also hiding the elements of the overrun brake system. Our adventure with Greece began in Alexandroupolis, we arrived in the city quite late and we were very tired. We drove through the main streets and immediately started looking for a place to stay. We left the city already in Thessaloniki, stopped by the beach on the coast full of hotels, restaurants and guesthouses. . We drove the bus into some abandoned gate and parked in the empty section between the two centers. In one of them we have located unsecured bathrooms and a beach shower, which of course we made good use of. The next day, a familiar surprise: the empty beach in the evening turned out to be one of the busiest in Alexandroupolis. I guess we started to get used to the fact that we fall asleep in a relatively deserted place and wake up in the spotlight. We sat on the beach for a while and began to gather in the direction of Thessaloniki.

One campervan, three-person crew, six weeks, almost 2,000 km. These were the initial assumptions for the 2014 holidays. Read for yourself what came out of it. We travel in a Hyundai Trajet with a vestibule - which has been serving us: Anka, Marek and 4.5-year-old Kuba as a substitute for a camper for 2 years. We don't like sitting still, so we spend no more than 4 days in each city we visit. We explore everything we can nearby - by bike or by car and move on. We appreciate regional food (although we won't eat it all because we are vegetarian), small breweries and interesting people. Our routes are dictated mainly by life - friends we visit along the way, festivals we want to participate in or simply interesting places we find on the Internet. Before we saved up money for a real camper, we decided to visit Poland - we started in 2012 and, over the next holidays, we managed to achieve our goal, step by step. We will finish the last stage in 2015 in a camper. We've already seen a lot, but there are still many places left to discover - and for now it's only Poland :).

From time to time in the generally available media there is information about new car products that immediately conquer the market. It is a virtually limitless market that is constantly growing. There are more and more cars, which automatically generates new ideas and new needs. One of the latest hits are car cameras , which gained masses of fans on the march. A device that records everything related to the ride of the indicated vehicle, but also the surroundings in front of it. At the time when the cameras appeared, there was also a lot of competition. Each manufacturer offers its customers device enhancements to capture the image more accurately and assist drivers even more. In each device you can find many side functions that have little to do with logging and driving history. It is the ability to take photos or save music files. The device from a small webcam has become an extended element of the car.

The market for manufacturers of caravans and campers has been doing quite well for many years, despite the high prices of this type of equipment. Budget models of caravans provide only the necessary minimum for two or three people, in their case there is no large usable space or comfortable accessories - at a reasonably configured price we get an orbutical minimum. However, not every driver is satisfied with the Spartan conditions known from small and cheap models, some expect more than a place to sleep and a gas stove. Especially for them, trailer manufacturers offer single-axle structures that offer a surprisingly large amount of space, as well as a whole list of useful optional equipment.

The strong bitterness of beer made from heavily roasted barley malt may not suit everyone, but the city has many other advantages for which you need to come here. Cork is a large Irish city (second largest), with the center on an island between the main beds of the River Lee. It is located where the river flows into the Celtic Sea, and most of its streets were built after the river channels were filled up. In the past, there was a swamp here, as the name suggests, derived from the Irish Corcach Mór Mumhan (Great Munster Marsh).

They spend the remaining time in garages, under shelters or in guarded parking lots - waiting for the next holiday season. Unfortunately - their owners very rarely decide on pre-winter service procedures aimed at keeping mechanical components in good technical condition. The vast majority of campers spend the winter unattended. It would seem that a few winter months of a motorhome's downtime are the best times to make all the necessary repairs and a number of other service activities.
