Croatia has a chance to become the hit of the upcoming holidays. The well-known and popular Valamar campsites are preparing exceptionally carefully to welcome this year's guests. Special procedures are intended to ensure a safe, but above all pleasant stay for all tourists spending their holidays in each of the Valamar chain facilities. Croatia is a relatively safe country in terms of COVID-19 incidence. The number of patients hovers around 2,221, new cases can often be counted on the fingers of one hand. There is a good chance that this indicator will improve further by the end of the season, i.e. July and August.

There is an idea to allow Poles to go on vacation. The state wants to introduce a tourist voucher worth PLN 1,000, which would not only help tourists organize their vacation, but also keep the Polish tourism industry alive. However, only people employed under a contract of employment will receive assistance. There was not enough money for the others. Travel vouchers are to be similar to shopping or holiday vouchers. Ultimately, employers will be able to fund it to their employees. However, this year the state will not reach into their pockets, because as pointed out by Jadwiga Emilewicz, the Minister of Development, it is not a good year to persuade employers to spend more. In 2020, 90% of the voucher will be financed from the state budget, and only 10% will be covered by the employer. It is estimated that this year the state will spend around PLN 7 billion for this purpose.

Almost five thousand people, mainly from Germany, are demanding compensation from the Austrian authorities in Tirol for exposing people to a dangerous disease, as a result of negligence arising after learning about the first cases of coronavirus in the resort. The sum of damages can reach the amount of up to EUR 5 million. The class action was filed by people vacationing in the ski resort of Ischgl in early March - sometimes referred to as the European COVID-19 hatchery. Austrian Ischgl is one of the most popular and modern ski resorts in the Alps. In addition to the beautiful scenery and 239 km of ski slopes, 45 lifts and amazing offpiste areas, it offers countless clubs, discos, restaurants and pubs, as well as SPA resorts and exclusive hotels. No wonder that tourists from all over the world come there, apparently even half a million a year. Such high popularity also contributed to the spread of the disease. Even tourists from Israel or Singapore indicate that they are infected in a Tyrolean resort.

The group's authorities felt that, taking into account the large number of visitors to the events, such as the Caravan Salon in Dusseldorf, and the measures that would have to be taken due to the risk of infection, it makes no sense to participate in the fair this year.

Whoever planned a trip to Sicily in May will have to postpone it. The head of regional government Nello Musumeci announced that the island would be closed in May. He hopes that the COVID-19 incidence rate will drop to zero there as a result of the isolation. He assured that the situation was monitored and that as soon as it improved, residents would be happy to welcome tourists. Nello Musumeci pointed out that there are 12 coronavirus patients on the island who are in intensive care units, and at the same time the number of cured patients is growing all the time. They also include patients transferred to Sicily from overcrowded hospitals in Lombardy.

The CARAVAN SALON 2020 trade fair in Düsseldorf, Germany, which was supposed to start on August 28, 2020, has been postponed by a week. The press day is scheduled for September 4, and Messe Düsseldorf will open its doors to the public from September 5 to 13, 2020. This gives a number four times lower than in the Czech Republic, which is considered a relatively safe country. Therefore, the country's authorities have decided to gradually lift the restrictions and start preparations for the upcoming tourist season.
