The fifth edition of the first open-air caravanning fair Caravaning Summer Show in Poland is ahead of us. Yes, it's been the 5th year :). From the very beginning, we strongly believed in this original project. During all these years, we managed to use 100% of the land that we had at our disposal. Let us remind you that the first edition took place on the border of Władysławowo and Chałupy. The second edition took place in Hel, at the very end of the Peninsula. It is worth mentioning that from the very beginning we aimed at the port in Jastarnia .

The Polish Automotive Industry Association and the Polish Caravanning Group present a registration report for new and used campers and caravans in 2021 based on data from the Central Vehicle Register. In the last quarter of 2021, the very dynamic development of the caravanning market in Poland continued. In the group of new motorhomes, growth was + 31.8% y / y, after three-digit increases in the first (+ 157.8% y / y) and second quarter (+ 136.5% y / y) and double-digit increases in the third (+ 59.4%). This allowed the end of last year in the motorhomes category with a total of 2,242 new registrations. It was a level almost twice as high as in 2020 (+ 92.3%, + 1,076 items). In individual quarters of I-IV last year. 415, 932, 518 and 377, respectively, were added.

It is already known that the 5th edition of the event will be held on October 21-23, 2022. The creators of the fair are already announcing today an even larger exhibition, a larger caravanning rally, new attractions and the continuation of cooperation with the Tour Salon fair and the Traces of Dreams Festival in the form of a block of events. We have already got used to the galloping fuel prices. RV users traveling across Europe in camper vans or in a trailer caravan can already prepare for the next problem. The urea solution used in modern power units may soon turn out to be surprisingly expensive and, moreover, much more difficult to obtain. The main component of AdBlue is ammonia , the production of which requires a large amount of gas. As we know, this raw material is also becoming more expensive. Due to the market situation, one of the main suppliers to the European markets - BASF - has significantly reduced production. For many chemical concerns, the production of the additive is a side business, and when it becomes unprofitable, they prefer to withdraw from contracts, paying possible contractual penalties and stop production completely. The first of the large producers made such a decision in Italy, others are already announcing a reduction or end of deliveries.

AdBlue - are we in danger of a crisis?

From November 1, Austrian drivers driving cars with a GVM (passenger, delivery, special) not exceeding 3.5 t in conditions of reduced traction (rime, ice, snow) are required to have winter tires or chains in their vehicles on at least 2 driving wheels. It is worth noting that the use of chains is possible only when the surface is covered with ice or snow. The Austrian police are therefore given the power to impose non-compliance fines of up to EUR 5,000. Cars with a permissible weight exceeding 3.5 tonnes are subject to an unconditional obligation to have winter tires on at least one drive axle from November 1 - regardless of the weather conditions. According to the regulations, winter tires include tires marked with the symbols MS, M + S and M&S ( mud and snow ) with a minimum tread height of 4 mm.
