Another trip to Lublin took us to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Kębło in Wąwolnica . The Lublin region delights with its wonderful green forests and clean air. We went to Wąwolnica through beautiful Nałęczów, next to the plants producing "Nałęczowianka", and on the way back we had lunch at Karczma Nałęczowska , where a revolution was recently made by Magda Gessler. First, we visited the Minor Basilica in Wąwolnica ... . . . ... next to which, in the Chapel , there is the Miraculous Figure of Our Lady of Kębło.

At the end of September, the academic year is approaching inexorably. After our trip this year, I was a little unsatisfied, so together with Dominika we decided to take a few days off at work and set off ... There were a lot of plans ... visit one of the European capitals or other more interesting places. We wandered for a few days, where to go here, what to do, so many things to do, but a little time ... This turned on the lamp above the head like in a cartoon. Hola, hola, we have the Crown of Polish Mountains to be finished. Without thinking much, we packed our trekking equipment into the bus and set off again with our beloved Tripciak in the Sudetes.

Winter trip to the Malbork Castle . A bit crazy ... Well, what would you call a one-day trip to such a remote corner of Poland? It is true that I left Warsaw in the morning, so the distance is not so large, but ... when you listen to navigation, you drive this road (on the other hand, BoXerek passed the winter driving test). . Unfortunately, this pace of travel meant that I showed up at the checkout at 13.55 (according to the price list, from 13.15-14.00 in the winter season, tickets are cheaper - PLN 14 / PLN 9), but the lady closed the window for the "technical break", informing that from 14.15 tickets will be cheaper and ... indeed: PLN 7 / PLN 4. But visiting time ... Interiors until 3:00 p.m., exterior until 4:00 p.m. So it was an "express" tour, but today I know that I will come back to Malbork for the whole day in the summer. ORESUND - COPEHAGA - HELSINGOR - SORO. ROUTE 200 km. We start our tour of Denmark from Copenhagen, which can be reached almost directly from the bridge over the Oresund. Copenhagen obtained city rights in the mid-thirteenth century, although the city had already existed 100 years earlier. Copenhagen is a city of bicycles, there are here and, as we shall see, in Denmark, probably millions. Wherever you look, there are two circles. There are even separate lanes for them. Traveling around the city on two wheels is certainly easier than on four wheels. Wherever you look, bikes to the right, left or in front of you everywhere. Not surprisingly, many streets are pedestrianized.

ROUTE 150 km. Nourished with a solid breakfast at our lovely hosts, we continue our journey. The further away from Krosno the snow flashes in places. We go to Rymanów, more specifically to Zdrój :), where winter shows its claws more and more. It seems to be in the plus of 8 degrees, but the snow and ice are at their best here - you have to be careful where and how you tread. We cut to Komancza via Szczawne. A picturesque road on gentle hills, so we do not complain about the lack of views. We know Szczawne, Komańcza, Cisna from the summer season, now we are just passing through to find ourselves in real hills as soon as possible. This is not the case as soon as possible, because already in Komańcza, slush begins to accumulate on the roads, and the more you go to the east. Above 700 m, there is already regular snow with specific ruts on the road. It's good that we are on winter tires. We reach the first pass behind Cisna. We get to the parking lot, but not too deep, because there is practically no car traffic - we passed 3 from Cisna. We make a cup of coffee, something sweet, and here, as if from Marszałkowska, everyone broke off - every minute a car is squeezed into a currently small (not snow-free) parking lot. Okay, then we'll check what attracts them all here - a wonderful panorama :).

IDEA FOR A WEEKEND - Bieszczady

A spontaneous trip without a planned route turned out to be a two-week trip to Istria and the Garda. Our goal was not a specific place in Europe, but to test our new Opel Vivaro called Vivek and to test new camping accessories. While the temperatures in Poland dropped below 15˚C, and snow fell in the Tatra Mountains, we went south in search of the sun. We bought vignettes before the Polish-Czech border. They cost us: Czech (1 month) PLN 96 and Austrian (2 months) PLN 136, but it is cheaper to buy them abroad, then we would pay PLN 22 less for the Czech vignette and PLN 30 less for the Austrian vignette.

A two-week trip to Istria and Lake Garda

GRYBÓW - ROPA - FLOWER - SMEREKOWIEC - GŁADYSZÓW - MAŁASTOWSKA PASS - BARTNE - FOLUSZ - JASŁO. ROUTE 200 km. You can also camp in winter. Some mountains have not hurt anyone yet. As there is a long way to the Bieszczady Mountains, we stop for the night in Mszana Dolna in the parking lot behind the Commune Office near the church, from where we head east in the morning. Before Nowy Sącz, we can admire the panorama of the Tatra Mountains - the visibility is quite good, the so-called "las palmas" shines :).

Friday, August 21, strikes 9:00 am, I get up, there are several hundred kilometers ahead of us to cover the first day, so I gave myself some sleep. A quick coffee for scrambled eggs and the final preparations are coming, all in all, there is a lot of work ahead of me, and the time is running out. Unpacked, because I spent the whole week at work from morning to evening, alternating with preparing the bus for the trip. The traveling lifestyle and frequent trips, whether it's for a bicycle competition or a typical travel one, have taught me to pack quickly and minimalist, also 3 boxers, 3 T-shirts, 3 pairs of socks ... well, no exaggeration, this time we are going by bus. I'm going to go crazy, a few pairs of socks, a few t-shirts, a few pairs of panties, photographic equipment, trekking equipment, ready to go. Packed, I start cleaning the interior, which I did not manage to do the day before, in addition, I start packing all this stuff, in the form of food, water, tools, etc., inside Tripi. In the meantime, I am waiting for the arrival of the rest of the crew: Asia, Dominika and Łukasz, as Daniel is still at work, we pick him up on the way. This time we have a 5-person bus crew, a total of 6, including Barry, a travel dog (which he only became after the expedition), whom Daniel took from the shelter in May.

For the last days of summer or the "golden Polish autumn", I recommend a one-day trip: Pieskowa Skała - Ojców . For me it was the last trip before winter. Anyway, we can see the autumn aura in the pictures. The first mention of Pieskowa Skała (Peskenstein) appears for the first time in 1315, in a document issued by Władysław Łokietek. It is probably a wooden fortress founded by Henryk the Bearded in the area of today's village of Sułoszowa. Casimir the Great built on the present site in the first half of the 14th century royal castle, as another link in the defensive chain of "eagles' nests". The upper castle on Dorotka's Rock was destroyed in a fire in 1850 and collapsed three years later. The lower castle, rebuilt and changing owners many times, was taken over by the Ministry of Culture and Art in 1949. Under the supervision of prof. Dr. Alfred Majewski, restoration works were carried out, thanks to which the castle acquires its present appearance.

The program was initially outlined, but has already changed, instead of Tropical Island, we want to stop in Oslo on our way back. In any case, we have to make the ferry tomorrow, and then spontaneously ... NORWAY 18.07 - 29.07.2011. Day 0 - July 17, 2011 - 300 km Departure to Kielce, hours. 15.00. Access to the DUNI company and bringing two motorhomes to Kielce. We leave our two passenger cars in Nowy Sącz.

This was supposed to be the perfect title of my account of a one-day trip to Wrocław. 102 zlotys - this is the amount that would be the cost of return tickets for 2 people if we had only booked them a week earlier. But we hesitated too long and we had to pay PLN 114. A slight difference, but if you insist, the title doesn't fit anymore. But why insist?

When traveling around Wieluń , you can get the impression that this area is little known to caravanning enthusiasts, which is a pity, because they have a lot to offer and hide a lot of tourism potential, which is just about to develop. After studying a few guides, reading all available forum threads and calculating the route, we decided to choose these areas for the long weekend in June. At the beginning, positive: Wieluń has one of the best organized interactive maps I have ever seen - I strongly encourage you to explore it (the staff requires a bit of practice, but it's worth it!) And writing down the exact coordinates of all the attractions you want to see (they are detailed there). We did not do it and we regret it, because we did not manage to see half of the planned attractions, but more on that in a moment ...
