Located in southwestern France, Aquitaine is a historic land characterized by a diverse area. On the one hand, we have 250 km of sandy beaches of the Aquitaine "Silver Coast" and the highest dune in Europe, and on the other - high Pyrenean peaks. Aquitaine is also a region famous for its vineyards and historic cities such as Bordeaux and Lourdes. Aquitaine is one of the largest and most diverse regions in France. Its area stretches from the foot of the Massif Central in the north to the border with Spain in the south . This land has many historical ties to the British Isles, mainly due to the wine trade . A large part of Aquitaine is an agricultural region, it is the Aquitaine Basin, which is crossed by the rivers Garonne, Dordogne, Lot and Tarn. We will see many ruins of medieval castles, fortifications and even fortified churches there.
