Uppsala is partying loudly until dawn, and Juwenalia is talked about long after the most abused student has sober up. The city is also famous for its royal mounds and too large cathedral. Uppsala is the former capital and the fourth largest city in Sweden. It is located in the south-eastern part of the country, less than an hour's drive from Stockholm (via the E4 route). It is a well-known university center in Europe and, as befits one, it is teeming with life and endless fun. The fact that Uppsala attracts young people from different countries can be seen especially during the great student holiday - Sista April. This event is partly Juwenalia, partly a free interpretation of the so-called Walpurgisnacht , the night of evil spirits. Legends about the Sabbaths at the Brocken Summit on the night of April 30 to May 1, and the traditions of lighting great fires on the hills to drive away the witches, have become the occasion for events attended by thousands of people each year.

The caravanning season is slowly beginning, all preparations for holiday escapades are gaining momentum. Many people struggle with a serious dilemma: what type of motorhome will be perfect for them, which type of motorhome to choose in order not to overpay or buy too little equipment. In order not to make a costly mistake, it is better to think in advance what exactly we need. Only when we know our expectations exactly, we can choose the manufacturer, model and its configuration. The extensive motorhomes guarantee their users convenience, comfort and extensive accessories . Unfortunately - for many enthusiasts, they have one major disadvantage: their huge dimensions make it very difficult to maneuver in a crowded city, on a camping field, and even make it impossible to use many parking lots. Interestingly, the situation is not saved even by vehicles built on the basis of delivery trucks with tin bodies - they are also much too tall .

May weekend is a great time to show children the vibrant nature. This is not the time of shyly growing snowdrops, but of spring in full bloom. Where can you see its exceptional beauty? For example, in the Blue Springs reserve. Depending on the place we choose for the first weekend of May, we can bring home memories of an active holiday or peaceful exploration of nature with the whole family. If we decide on the latter, we can go to the Blue Springs reserve. It covers an area of almost 29 ha, and tourists visit it to see karst springs with an original blue shade, about 400 species of plants, 75 species of birds and numerous mammals (including the muskrat).

Today, a section of approx. 550 km from Carta to Mamaia. Good road E68, then a little worse E81, but once it became a freeway it was OK, just boring. Bucharest bypass to drive, but not likely during rush hour. Fortunately, we traveled around 1pm our time. Bucharest-Constanta Highway, 11 lei additionally. Behind the highway, we turned left and drove about 20 km on a gravel road, but thanks to this we avoided Constanta. Camping S is big and nice, only a few sanitary requirements. Cost: 115 lei / day / set.

It's time to go on a trip to Romania . Of the 5-6 crews that declared themselves, I was unfortunately left alone with my friend in a passenger car ... Well, life plays various tricks. Two crews, i.e. 8 people, take part in the expedition. My vacation was also in doubt, but it worked. The media patronage over the expedition was taken by "Polski Caravaning". . Day 1 The trailer is ready for the road, the food is packed (that's why the trailer is still connected to 230V), the crew and personal belongings. We can meet snow in the mountains and heat at the seaside. Departure today 22.00.

Caravanning has never been the cheapest form of spending free time on vacation, nevertheless, for many of us, complete independence and unlimited freedom is worth any price. Regardless of whether we buy a brand new camper, a trailer or equipment from the secondary market - sooner or later we may experience a failure of the interior equipment. Unfortunately - very often a damaged refrigerator, air conditioner or other devices are not worth repairing in any way. As reality shows, the costs of possible resuscitation may exceed the price of the new equipment - with the warranty, of course.

For caravanning enthusiasts, only cars with practical bodies are important. Sedans, small hatchbacks or coupes do not exist. SUVs and station wagons , which have been popular recently, are different. Especially mid-range estate cars show more than sufficient suitability and functionality. In addition to the VW Passat and similar designs, the Citroen C5 deserves our attention - its several advantages are not available to anyone else in the D segment. Despite several years on the market ( it has been available since 2008 ), the C5 still counts in the fight for the client. The conservative silhouette enriched with the latest technology can still be enjoyed. Subtle and balanced accessories create an aesthetic whole, almost elegant.

Although it is still cold outside and the sun is only shyly sticking out the nose from behind the clouds, thirsty for camper experiences and encouraged by nice weather, we went for our first weekend with a camper this season. Of course, as usual on the day of departure, the so far beautiful weather had turned bad, but what could be done - we took warmer clothes, stocked ourselves up with water for tea and left Kalisz right after work. Right behind Odolanów, in the small town of Sośnie, there is a unique Moja Wola manor house. Currently falling into disrepair, it is an extraordinary architectural structure whose façade is covered with ... bark. It looks worse and worse every year, so it's worth seeing it before it completely falls apart. We parked at the renovated Stanica Harcerska and then, through a beautifully wooded park, we reached the manor house. The facility is closed (which is a pity, because the inside is also nice), but it is accessible to visitors from the outside.

A few months ago, we wrote about the great importance of the automotive fair, especially for people who are currently looking for a motorhome, caravan or all kinds of caravanning / tourist equipment . Even long hours of comparing the offers of individual companies on the Internet will not bring a similar result to the visual assessment of each of the models we are interested in. The choice of the perfect equipment for us could be helped by a visit to the Motor Show in Poznań - where it was possible to check, configure and finally order a specific model in a few hours. We could also buy or at least choose the right accessories in the caravanning hall (furniture, dishes and many more).
