We're leaving in a moment… 12.00 from Okecie; 15.30 from London. At 19.30 (their regular time) we will be there. BEST REGARDS!!!. The 22nd of our now (Los Angeles) time has passed. We sit in our motel which is a bit dingy but can be for the money. And the seat reservation - on Hollywood Boulevard - a stone's throw to the Walk of Fame, Universal Studios and many other attractions that are nearby. So far everything has sounded - it's a wonder - planes on time, flights without disruptions, free bus from the airport to the door of the rental company, in the rental shop we rented a Jeep Liberty (a little bit small for our big needs) in a quarter of an hour - and Chrysler Town & Country - a cow like this and white in addition. And in the motel there was a room waiting for us with a bathroom, fridge, TV, microwave, etc. There is even a swimming pool, but the girls agreed that they do not intend to swim in it ... A bit tired, but very happy !!! We are about to go for a walk around the area and probably around midnight (it will be 9 am in the homeland) we will log in to sleep.

America by car, part 1/10 - Los Angeles

We started our trip to Iran from the north of Turkey, and more precisely from the city of Trabzon. There we went to the embassy, where we applied for a visa (cost approx. 75 euro plus passport photos, ID photos, approx. 3-4 pieces). I would like to add that you have to wait about 2 weeks for a visa in Poland. We filled out the visa forms on the spot, and then we had to wait about 3 hours for the visa to be issued. During this time, you can go to the Sumela Monastery. After receiving the visas, we hitchhiked through Georgia and Armenia to Iran. We did not hitch in Iran itself, because in most cases the drivers still demand payment. At the border crossing, a gang of taxi drivers jumped at us, offering a ride for a ridiculously high price. After a few minutes of bargaining, we chose the cheapest option. At the border crossing, you can also change money, because the conversion rate is quite favorable (note! There are two currencies - the old and the new, so it's easy to make a mistake or be cheated - differences in zeros).

Expedition to Iran

Before myself, I think I was born a little late. Maybe more than a little, sometimes there is too much of everything around, and I wish I could ... Mountains. Yes, mountains this is the place. The more exciting was the thought that we got a job in the mountains after all. Hardanger Vidda - the largest national park in Northern Europe. The surprise was all the greater as we had already worked in this place 4 years earlier, for one weekend; trifle, we have never been able to return there even privately. We have been in Norway for a few months a year for a good few years and it is undoubtedly one of the most appealing lands that I have had the opportunity to associate with.

At the End of the World -Stavali

The idea of a holiday trip was born in our heads as early as February. TURKEY - 14 people "only" with four cars…. only 5-6 thousand km both ways, overnight stays: tents, motels…. The plans were verified for 4 months, mainly due to the distance to be traveled. At the meeting in June, a new idea came up: 7 days in tents on Lake Garda in Italy, where our base for sightseeing was supposed to be, then transfer to Croatia to the island of Ciovo, town of Slatine near Trogir, and private accommodation there.

It would seem that autumn is not a season that the tourist industry is particularly fond of. Penetrating cold, constant rain and gray outside the window do not encourage to indulge in thrilling voyages. Even if they were heated with the pleasant warmth of a motorhome. It turns out, however, that caravanning is not afraid of blizzards, blizzards and frosts. This is evidenced by the many events that are taking place in the fall. One of them is the International Tourism and Caravanning Fair, which will once again be held in Leipzig.

International Tourism and Caravanning Fair

Planning our vacation this year, we decided to visit Lombok. We've heard a bit about the island before, but not much. Only that it is large and completely different from Bali. Therefore, we didn't really know what to expect. We arrived on the island with the transport mentioned in the post on GILI T :) We drove about two hours to get to Kuta. And here is the first surprise. Nothing to do with Kuta, Bali. There - a crowd of tourists, here a crowd of children trying to sell hand-made bracelets. We were surprised that they could say "Hello, how are you" in almost any language :) We had dinner calmly, thinking that we would find accommodation without any problems, but unfortunately we cheated ourselves a little :) It was not that easy, but after about 2 or 3 hours of searching on scooters. So remember to book something before you get there :) (depends of course on the season) It is an island of the most beautiful wild beaches I have ever seen. And completely empty. Of course, empty until you decide to stop somewhere, within 5 minutes you will find local people selling pineapples, beers, sarongs, coconuts, or trying to extort a fee for guarding the scooter in the 'parking lot' :) Here you will not be surprised by a crowd of crazy tourists and locals on scooters, because the roads are completely empty :) I even dared to give up a helmet and long pants: P I recommend the Sonya warung. It is owned by a woman who was born in Lombok and came from a very poor family. As an eight-year-old she was selling pineapples on the beach in Kuta, trying to earn a living. From the age of 15, she was selling sarongs and this continued for the next 12 years. In 2010 she was met by a girl from England who visited Lombok again. In gratitude for Sonya's hospitality, she decided to help her and financed the construction of the warunga. This is a place with amazing food, kindest service in the world and the most delicious watermelon juice !! You can't help but look there :) I also recommend a trip to the northern part of the island to see the waterfalls! Sendang Gile is an island attraction that cannot be missed. The guide will take you along a path through the jungle, through broken bridges, under fallen trees, up to a fairy-tale waterfall! You can take a dip, so don't forget about swimwear and shorts :) Being on the island, it would be a sin not to buy souvenirs such as masks, dishes, sculptures, etc., because on this island they are the cheapest and different than all of them. You will see the rest for yourself :) Surfing as much as possible. Unfortunately, not by the beach, but somewhere where there are waves. The locals take you a very small boat (how is it possible that it is not sinking? :) to the place where the best waves are on a given day. Remember about the camera card, because I just left it in the laptop, so you won't see the photos :) But you have to take my word for it! WORTH! :) To sum up. Lombok is definitely a must stop when visiting Inonesia. MUST SEE !!!.

Lombok - welcome to paradise!

Bali - my first adventure on the island ended with an unfortunate ride on a scooter, and thus an extremely interesting "sightseeing of the island" on a lounger by the pool during convalescence :) But I got to know a thousand local ways to heal wounds faster and get rid of scars :) And I probably met half of the inhabitants of Kuta, who were looking with interest at my leg, asking what happened. After a week of replying that I had an accident on a scooter, I found it worthwhile to color the story a bit :) From then on, I replied that I was attacked by a shark :).

Bali - the island of diversity

For the first time, I was able to fly to Indonesia in 2011. Then I already knew that I would be back there. And I came back :) I am in love with Indonesia, completely and unconditionally ... Especially in the tiny, 'cozy' island of Gili Trawangan. As soon as you find yourself on it, you will feel like in the magical world of blue lagoons, beautiful beaches, all with Bob Marley in the background :) Let me start with more interesting places, because there are many of them ... As I mentioned before, Gili T. is a specific island where time stands still. There is no police, the smell of marijuana is in the air, and in every restaurant they try to persuade you to take 'magic mushrooms': P In the evenings you can relax with live reggae music, and during the day you can snorkel with sea turtles. I especially recommend CORAL BEACH 2, an unforgettable atmosphere and such friendly locals that it is difficult anywhere to meet someone with such positive energy :) A fabulous island that I could move to at least soon :) You can get there from Bali or Lombok. Transport by public boat is quite an adventure, where you will sit like herring between the locals and wonder if you will ever reach the shore, taking into account the waves and the speed with which the boat goes :).

From November 16 to 18, our native Kielce will become the world capital of the automotive industry. All thanks to the 1st MOTO-HOBBY Motor Vehicles and Equipment Exhibition. We have special news for caravanning enthusiasts. Well, the event is combined with the "Camper & Kemping 2012" Salon and a nationwide caravanning rally. Modern campers, functional caravans, innovative accessories and furniture - all this is waiting for caravanning fans in Kielce on the third weekend of November. The exhibition stands will also have a wide range of camping equipment. Thanks to this the choice of electricity and water dispensers, roller shutters or awnings will be child's play, and the purchase of suspension for motorhomes and caravans will no longer consume an alarming amount of time. MOTO-HOBBY fairs in Kielce

Did you know that from November 1, 2012 road traffic regulations will change in France. There must be an ALKOMAT in every car. Local authorities have announced that since 2006, drunk drivers have been the leading cause of death on French roads. Each driver will need to have at least one chemical breathalyzer that costs from € 1 to € 3 or an electronic breathalyzer that costs from € 100. However, the authorities recommend that - although the regulations say you have one working breathalyzer - you should always have two breathalyzers in the case of chemical breathalyzers; the point is that the driver can test for alcohol and at the same time have a working breathalyzer in the event of a police check. You will be fined € 11 for not having a breathalyser.
