The caravanning industry, and especially the sale of motorhomes and caravans, is doing very well, as we all see when visiting trade fairs. In the ranking taking into account the registrations of new motorhomes referred to as "special campers", Volkswagen is in the lead - among new vehicles, the year-on-year increase is over 100%. The overall sales structure of this brand includes a large portfolio, especially of Polish brands specializing in the construction of VW-based cars, and - of course - Volkswagen's own products with the " California " emblem, leaving the factories in Greater Poland in large numbers. However, the increase in sales of classic motorhomes is also surprising - the Roller Team or Benimar brands, as we can see, recorded cosmic increases in quantity and percentage compared to the same period of 2020.

Boom in numbers - how the market grows

On our website, we have already described several times new products from the Randger brand, a French manufacturer of campers/campervans, on various base cars. The brand's distributor, Szymon Majnusz from Transa-M from Pszczyna, will tell us in a short interview for our website what he would like to do to win the tastes and hearts of customers in the upcoming season. Due to its excellent insulation and the mentioned drive, it is often chosen by keen skiers and fans of winter caravanning.

The merger of these three events resulted in an interesting exchange of visitors. Some of them got into motorhomes or caravans with interest for the first time. When the Affinity brand debuted at the European fair in January 2020, hardly anyone thought that it would win the hearts of customers in Scandinavia, Germany and other European countries by storm. The impressive marketing surrounding the premiere suggests that the Hobby brand has thoroughly researched the market and sees great potential in the target group. Yes, but who is the target group?. At the beginning, it should be noted that regardless of the vehicle, the focus was on compact, uncomplicated and easy-to-use structures. The words "freedom", " beach ", "comfort" and "simplicity" are used in all cases. Three Beachy trailer systems of different lengths seem to be created for traveling couples and families with children. The first units of the trailers will go on sale soon, and the "beach" campervan complementing the line will be offered from summer 2022.

For 2022, the Chausson brand presented a number of changes in its offer, both interior layouts and creating completely new series of bodies. Judging by the sales results for Polish customers, the most important information will be the continuation of the Titanium Premium series (the richest version of the equipment with an automatic transmission as standard). This series is offered on the basis of the Ford Transit with a 170 HP engine (and is the most frequently chosen variant in Poland). In addition to the top series in semi-integrateds, we also have the First Line base series (models offered only with a manual gearbox based on Fiat or Ford and the middle class Titanium VIP based on the Fiat Ducato (with a 9-speed automatic transmission as standard and a 2.2 140 HP engine),.

The jubilee, sixtieth caravanning fair organized in Düsseldorf has recently gone down in history. The event, which ended on Sunday, September 5, lasted a total of 10 days and, judging by the moods of exhibitors and visitors, it met the expectations of the groups. Despite the restrictions related to the pandemic, the number of visitors exceeded the organizer's wildest predictions - the fair was visited by a total of 185 thousand. people, which only confirms the primacy of the event among industry events in the world.

The ritual of walking with the cassette / tank to the waste discharge point is a duty for most of us, as well as an everyday sight to which we have already got used to. This does not mean, however, that manufacturers of restrooms and sanitary solutions for recreational vehicles are not trying to find alternatives for our convenience and the good of the environment.
