An increasing number of motorhome users in the era of ever larger, more and more comfortable constructions and the ubiquitous fashion for improvements and "tuning" (rarely consisting in slimming) have to face the problem of potentially exceeding this magical value. In truth, the regulations from the 1960s regulating the DMC values for vehicles can be called invalid or outdated, but in the light of the current legislation in the EU, we should take note of them and comply with them. The editors of the German Reisemobil International Magazine summarized in a tabular form what is allowed and what is not allowed in individual EU countries and what, if applicable, penalties and consequences for non-compliance (below).

The Caravanning Salon is an event that has become a permanent part of the Poznań Motor Show program. This year, we could find campers, trailers and accessories in three halls. It was also possible to notice a greater interest of customers in specific models of tourist vehicles than in previous years. You can see that more and more Poles are serious about buying a motorhome or caravan. The theme of the 2018 Motor Show was "Automotive of Tomorrow" - there were a lot of hybrids and electric cars in the car halls. Electric vehicles could also be found in the section dedicated to motorcycles and scooters. We haven't dealt with electric vehicles at the Caravanning Show yet, but that doesn't mean that there were no surprises.

The biggest automotive event in Poland is coming soon! Let's check what can be seen in the part intended for the Caravanning Salon. It is worth noting that only some of the exhibitors revealed their plans, so we can also expect many surprises. This year's Poznań Motor Show will take place right after Christmas, on 5-8 April, with Thursday being traditionally a press day. Regular tickets are valid from Friday to Sunday. The Caravanning Salon will occupy 2.5 halls this year (halls No. 1, 2 and partially hall No. 15).

It is worth seeing what the BMW brand has prepared. The latest sports BMW i 8 Roadster plug-in hybrid will make its debut at the Poznań Motor Show. The BMW M5 , a sports limousine that will be the first M model to be equipped with the intelligent M xDrive all-wheel drive, and the second generation of the BMW X4 , the popular Sports Activity Coupé, will also have their Polish premieres.

One of the most interesting novelties at the upcoming Poznań Motor Show may be the Westfalia Amundsen 540D Offroad. The off-road motorhome will be available at the Elcamp stand. Caravanning enthusiasts will surely start their tour from the halls in which campers, caravans and camping equipment are presented. Like the falcon of the victim, we look for new things. And here the first swallows appear;). Well, the Elcamp group, which has recently expanded its cooperation with Westphalia, will show the Amundsen 540D Offroad model, which means that enthusiasts of year-round trips and stationing off the beaten track will finally find something for themselves. It is worth adding that Elcamp will offer this model as the only dealer in Poland.

Easter is on April 1, and next week the Poznań Motor Show 2018. We have more and more information about what we can expect this year at the largest automotive exhibition in Poland. The framework program of the Motor Show does not differ from that of previous years. This year, we will also be able to see vehicles in four showrooms: car, motorcycle, caravanning and truck . There are plenty of reasons to come to Poznań between 5 and 8 April. You will find arguments in each of the 14 halls, each of which will be filled with interesting vehicles or accessories. Right after the Geneva Motor Show, the Poznań Motor Show takes place. Thanks to this "coincidence", many new products from Switzerland have a chance to also be exhibited in Poland. It is the largest automotive fair in Poland and the fourth largest fair in Europe. Last year, the Motor Show was visited by 135,023 automotive enthusiasts who had 170 exhibitors to see the stands. We then have more time, and thus also the desire to visit previously unknown corners of Poland or Europe.
