In the 1990s, the Croatian government gave these areas a long-term free lease to boost tourism in the country. Even in 2015, the legal situation of these leases was quite unclear. Everyone asked themselves the following questions: Will the owners of the facilities be given further lease? If so, for how long? Or maybe they will be able to buy them for their own? But it was in 2015 that something changed and the Croats began to modernize the campsites one by one, and in fact most of the campsites from the list below are camps with a long tradition, which have been renovated in the last 4 years. So they have new swimming pools , new bathrooms, new mobile homes , new beaches and new infrastructure at the campsite. We keep our fingers crossed for the further development of tourism in Croatia!.
