The flavors of Istria
Between the Gulf of Trieste and the Kvarner Gulf there is an amazing piece of heart-shaped land that is wrapped in the waters of the Adriatic Sea. This is Istria, a peninsula that belongs in large part to Croatia. This place is divided into White, Gray and Red Istria - depending on the color of the earth. The cuisine of this peninsula is diverse, it mixes the flavors of inland dishes and dishes dominated by seafood. The dishes served in Croatia are very varied. On the coast, we can taste mainly fresh fish and seafood , while inland, filling meat stews await us. In Croatian cuisine you can feel the flavors of Italian, Austrian, Hungarian and Turkish dishes .
