Camping conditions can be a real challenge for producers of various gadgets that are to make life easier for us in the field. We looked at a few of them. When writing about ingenious camping and camping gadgets, we cannot ignore the BioLite Camp Stove stove. The brilliance of this invention is that it does not need gas or any other conventional fuel. Instead, a few dry sticks or cones are enough, and a barbecue kindling will come in handy. The largest caravanning fair in Europe is just around the corner. From August 31 to September 8, about 600 exhibitors will present themselves in over a dozen exhibition halls in Düsseldorf. Who would like to explore the inside out world of motorhomes, caravans and equipment useful both for camping and picnics, should visit our western neighbors at the turn of August and September. This year, among the exhibitors, there were, among others, Carthago Reisemobilbau, Niesmann + Bischoff, Dethleffs, Sunlight, Knaus Tabbert, Eura Mobil, Bürstner, Morelo, Karmann-Mobil, Hymer, Carado, Pössl, Adria Mobil, Chausson and Ilusion Caravaning brands. Probably almost each of these companies has prepared new, premiere models especially for the caravanning salon.

Of course, you can go camping with a trailer from Niewiadów connected to an Opel Astra or a Skoda Octavia. You can also go on a trip in a motorhome, for example converted from Fiat Ducato. But some people prefer the Mini. Camping Mini versions? Oh how! There are quite a lot of them. And although they are usually concept models, they attract fans of this stylish brand around them. Perhaps the most successful concept for leisure in the Mini version is Cowley - a caravan named after the historic factory, now known as the Oxford Factory. This caravan is distinguished by its small size and quite pleasant teardrop shape. An attentive observer will notice many elements of the body refined down to the smallest detail - and yet it is precisely for such people, who value individual style and are ready to pay dearly for it, the Mini.

However, if you want to experience a real adventure and you can go on a long vacation (the usual one is not enough), EarthCruiser will be perfect for an expedition lasting many thousands of kilometers. Rocky Mountains, Sahara? Where do you want to spend your next vacation? There are hardly any inaccessible areas with this vehicle. EXP EarthCruiser is an unusual motorhome produced in Australia, which is based on the Mitsubishi Fuso Canter truck. The first Fuso truck made its debut in 1963, and although it has changed many times since then, it is associated with reliability to this day. And the off-road version is simply amazing - huge ground clearance, huge wheels, exceptional off-road characteristics ... All this makes the EarthCruiser a car that (according to the manufacturer) can reach places that most people only read about in the newspapers.

More than a camper, more than an off-roader

We use more and more devices, and therefore we need more and more electricity. This becomes a troublesome problem, especially during trips. More and more often it turns out that the standard equipment of a motorhome or caravan is not enough to enjoy all the electrical devices we have on board without any problems. However, there is a way, or actually ways. If we intensively use many "power-hungry" devices, we can create a whole system that cares for adequate power supply . The inverter is quite a clever device that can manage the energy in a motorhome. When on the campsite we cannot get the amount of electricity we need, then an advanced inverter distributes the energy in such a way as to operate priority devices such as a refrigerator or electric heating in the first place.

Unicorn is like a distinguished man in his sixties - we can certainly count on him in important matters, but do not expect him to surprise us with a daring skateboard ride. And yet, on several points, the trailer of the 65-year-old Bailey positively surprises. Based on stereotypes, we can think that the Brit will be boring for sure. Only after a closer look will we find out that superficial assessments are not worth trusting, and that our new friend has many advantages. This is also the case with this trailer.

The 990 MHV is a motorhome by the French brand Rapido in a new version, prepared for 2013. It is one of the few motorhomes on the European market with a Mercedes star on the radiator grille. The model belongs to one of the two most prestigious series of the Rapido brand. It is here that we can expect such equipment and solutions that the manufacturer wants to be proud of. What distinguishes all models refreshed in 2013 can be found in their interiors. Solid maple or oak furniture is adjacent to leather sofas and brushed aluminum fittings . But even in versions without leather upholstery, light upholstery and white furniture inserts blend nicely with the darker wood of the cabinets. When designing the 990 MHV model, the manufacturer even cooperated with yacht designers to give the interior an appropriate, i.e. luxurious, style.

A long journey, many days spent at the campsite ... In the evening it would not hurt to watch an interesting movie or learn about the latest news from the world. In such a situation, a TV set is not enough. An antenna is also needed. But which one should you choose?. We can buy the antenna for PLN 100 or for ... 6,000. zloty. The price gap is huge, but so is the difference between the capabilities of individual antennas. When buying an antenna to receive terrestrial television, pay attention to whether it has been adapted to receive the DVB-T signal . We can have an antenna such as the Polish Crown for about PLN 80-100 . It enables the reception of popular TV and radio programs (VHF).

Trigano has been one of the largest motorhome manufacturers in Italy and Europe for years. Achieving such a position was possible thanks to offering tourist vehicles at prices that were very attractive compared to competitors' offers. Roller Team is a brand owned by the Italian company Trigano. What distinguishes this manufacturer is the independent production of bodies and furniture for their vehicles. Since 2001, the company has had a complex of three factories with a total area of 80,000 square meters.

T-Line motorhome - boring but practical

Off-road vehicle and motorhome in one? Yes, the American company ActionCamper converts ordinary Jeeps, incl. for pickups and motorhomes. A ready-to-travel car, after caravanning tuning costs $ 29,990 in the US. That's about $ 7,500 more than the salon version. Jeep ActionCamper JKU - this is the full name of this vehicle - is not a car for the whole family, unless the family consists of two people who like active recreation. The idea behind the creators of this version of Jeep was to create a comfortable vehicle for long trips - they would not necessarily end at the campsite.

Do you think you've seen everything? I guess you are wrong after all. Forest River offers caravans that are partly made of plastic and partly of fabric. In addition, elements of the material can extend far beyond the outline of the body ... Is it a tent? Is that a trailer? It's hard to say, actually. Certainly, however, the American Flagstaff and Rockwood constructions are original. Forest River vehicles are a combination of a trailer and a tent. This solution has several advantages. When traveling, the car can pull a small and light trailer, which should be much easier to drive. The unladen weight is, depending on the version (and there are 31 of them for each of both models!), About 1200-1400 kg .

However, expanding the model range to three Voyager and one Explorer is an opportunity to take a closer look at each of them. Currently, we can choose the Voyager X, Voyager Y and Voyager Z models. Similar names suggest a great similarity, and indeed, in each case we are dealing with a Fiat Ducato L4H3 delivery van (or a twin Peugeot or Citroen car), transformed into a comfortable vehicle for traveling . The differences are mainly limited to the interior design.
