The offer of motorhomes, caravans and camper-vans is growing week by week, and the prices between the various rental companies vary greatly. So what do you have to pay attention to before signing a motorhome rental contract?. Different practices are used in different rental shops. The basic equipment for motorhomes will also differ. Some rentals provide complete equipment included in the rental price, in others you have to pay for all additional items.

What to ask before renting a motorhome?

For a long time, like many of our fans, we have been following the travel achievements of the "Bus through the world" team. Their YouTube channel already has over 136,000 subscribers, and the reports and materials are of the highest quality. 10 years of travel translates, of course, into a considerable baggage of experience, including hardware. It is with even greater interest that we look "from the kitchen" to their vehicle and this material is to be dedicated to it. Karol and Ola have experience with several recreational vehicles, and their first vehicle was the VW T3, which they covered a total of over half a million kilometers, visiting 50 countries at the same time. As the car became more and more emergency, it eventually fell into a state of rest. The search for a worthy successor focused on the vehicle, the advantages and possibilities of which the couple got to know during their travels, among others, in Georgia. We are talking about the quite exotic in our country model Mitsubishi Space Gear Delica 4x4 (also known as L400). The vehicle is mechanically very similar to the Pajero and shares many components with it. This particular model was made in Japan and has become a very popular dumper in the Asian and Australian / Oceania markets - yes that's right, the handlebars are on the right ;-).

The French manufacturer has in its range a motorhome vans intended, among others, for active and young people. They are characterized by a low price and good basic equipment, ideal to start your adventure with caravanning. The official dealer of this brand in Poland is mCamp from Dzierżoniów in Lower Silesia. We will find a lot of new products for the 2021 season, and on October 23-25 you will be able to see the dealer's campers at the Camper & Caravan Show in Nadarzyn.

The fair in Poznań may not have eclipsed the events to which we have become accustomed in recent years, but for those planning purchases or contracts, it was an opportunity to meet distributors face to face and see new products on offer in such a difficult "pandemic" year. For the participants of the rally , the event was, in turn, an excellent opportunity to longed for integration with the caravanning brother. There were a few important players on the market among the exhibitors, but this does not mean that the condition of the industry is weakening, which is growing stronger due to the pandemic and related restrictions. Below are some impressions and a presentation of some of the novelties presented.

Caravans Salon - through the eyes of CampRest

Itineo is another brand belonging to the large RAPIDO Group. Here, designers focus primarily on compact semi -integrated and fully integrated motorhomes. Like other manufacturers, Itineo has prepared a lot of new products for the 2021 season. Among the many, it is worth mentioning the MC700 model, the "integrated" up to 7 meters with a central bed at the back, or the PF600 measuring just 599 centimeters in length, which can accommodate up to four people. Let's start with the full integrated. The new MC700 model has its "big sister" - the MC740. Like her, it offers one of the most popular layouts - a face-to-face open lounge and a central rear bed measuring 140x195 cm. But what distinguishes it from the MC740 is its length: only 699 cm. With such a compact size, it was even possible to separate the shower from the toilet and move it to the rear of the vehicle!.

ITINEO, i.e. integrals up to 7 meters (but not only!)

The AUTOSTAR brand, belonging to the TRIGANO group, represented by TRANSA-M from Pszczyna, will present the manufacturer's new products for the 2021 season at the Camper Caravan Show 2020 in Nadarzyn. There will also be the brand's bestsellers, i.e. the CELTIC EDITION range and the PASSION semi-integrated model. This year's fair will be unique - AUTOSTAR makes its debut in Poland and for the first time the models of this brand will be presented at a trade fair. AUTOSTAR is a manufacturer of well-thought-out and perfectly equipped semi-integrated and integrated vehicles with a common DNA, which is based on the brand's philosophy based on several key assumptions. The vehicles must be durable and resistant to weather conditions (e.g. hail) and mechanical damage - a 7-year warranty on the tightness of the bodywork is a commitment that the manufacturer can afford in connection with the use of a polyester resin laminate in the structure of the roof, walls and floor. Year-round use requires appropriate insulation - here we use extruded polystyrene with increased density, completely waterproof, as well as a supporting frame made of PVC profiles that are resistant to rusting or rotting (unlike aluminum profiles, it does not conduct heat and does not contribute to the formation of thermal bridges). In terms of passengers' thermal comfort, they even thought about effective heating of the cab, which many premium segment manufacturers forget about. AUTOSTAR also took seriously the issue of heating distribution, air exchange and the use of thermal "curtains" wherever cold may potentially occur (Ventil' Plus). The range of vehicles includes the PRIVILEGE, PASSION and PPRESTIGE series with lengths from 659-759 cm. The common denominator in all models is the Fiat Ducato base vehicle.

AUTOSTAR - the French manufacturer&#39;s debut on the Polish market

The Niesmann + Bischoff brand, whose official representative in Poland is the M-CAMP company from Dzierżoniów, has for many years been associated with luxury cruisers in a weight category far from the usual 3.5 tons. The luxurious giants of the Arto and Flair series have long been bestsellers in their categories in many markets beyond our western border. The brand gained phenomenal publicity 2 years ago, when it introduced the award-winning, stunningly unusual, fresh and thoughtful semi-integrated Smove model - in fact, it was a breakthrough and a successful debut in the category of vehicles up to 3.5 tons. It was then that we managed to successfully mix the market, but also show that the brand has not said the last word and is ready to surprise.

Niesmann + Bischoff - against all rules

Usually, when deciding on a new motorhome, we are doomed to an elimination path, during which we throw away elements of equipment or appearance, reaching the best option. The situation is completely different in the case of the French semi-integrated, which will be perfect as a family vehicle or for a couple. It is well-equipped, costs little and… it is difficult to find any flaws in it. You don't believe?. For several years now, the Chausson brand has been steadily surprising with fresh, even revolutionary solutions that are hard to find from competitors. A spacious XL living room, two washbasins in the back instead of a standard bedroom, or a strong promotion of insulation and adaptation to winter conditions - these are only some of the solutions we encountered during visits to this manufacturer's exhibition stands. The 720 Titanium model, which you can see in the photos, is also very original. But let's start from the beginning.

Chausson 720 Titanium - extremely versatile

Fresh colors inside the motorhome, simple and modern design, low weight and sufficient equipment already in the basic version of the motorhome - this is how you can describe the Sun Living vehicle, which we have recently tested. The Sun Living brand derives from the well-known manufacturer of motorhomes and caravans, i.e. the Adria brand from Slovenia. We have already driven Adria motorhomes several times and we managed to get to know their high quality of buildings and a very nice internal design combined with warm colors.

The Caravan Salon fair in Düsseldorf, as every year, was an opportunity to present new products in the industry. It is worth noting that the market of caravans, motorhomes, bodies and accessories is in top form and despite the stagnation announced last year, manufacturers and distributors are positive. The specific season and uncertainty related to the pandemic, as we already know, significantly influenced the way we define " safe holidays ", and this in turn translated into a record business for the industry. We are glad that dealer networks in Poland are developing dynamically, as customers gain not only choice, but also service support, which was so lacking in our country.

Hobby and Challenger news at the Caravan Salon

During this year's Caravan Salon in Düsseldrof, the stand of the Slovenian brand Adria is exceptionally rich. On several hundred square meters of the exhibition space, we can see (premiere!) The latest models of motorhomes (Matrix, Coral) and caravans (Adora). Adria is one of the most popular brands on the Polish market, so it is even more worth taking a closer look at the new products prepared for the 2021 season. There are a lot of these. Do you remember the real hit, a trailer that was ahead of its time? Of course, we are talking about the unique Astella, which has already found several owners on the Polish market. What can scare a potential customer away? Price starting from 55,000 euros. The manufacturer, however, found a remedy for this problem. The new Adora resembles the unique Astella with its design. There is a new, very aerodynamic shape, a modern rear wall with new LED lights and modified handles to help with maneuvering. The changes also included the front of the caravan. The locker, in which we can find a place for gas cylinders, looks different. The front window also looks completely different - large, wide, with the possibility of full opening so that you can admire exceptional views during trips.

We have seen the news of the Adria brand!

You don't have to be afraid of large motorhomes! We found out about it during the trip from Krakow through Bieszczady, Krosno, Sandomierz and ending in Bielsko-Biała. We traveled in a motorhome Carthago Chic C-Line 5.9 XL with a length of 840 cm. We usually test motorhomes with a gross vehicle weight of up to 3.5 tons - such vehicles are the most popular in Poland, because in order to move them, a category B driving license is enough. However, there are problems with small motorhomes. Manufacturers are trying to fit in the "mythical" range of up to 3.5 tons, which makes the car approach this value even without luggage and passengers. It is easy to tow it then - just a few bikes and a few passengers who have a diet just ahead of them, and it may turn out that the motorhome will not pass the weight test.
