What can a company with an outdated product in its offer do? Maybe add a few designer flavors to it and announce that it is a vintage model. We can suspect that this is how the Dethleffs Campy trailer concept was born. Small, cramped, but own. The design of the Campy caravan is reminiscent of the models from the 1950s. Small dimensions and neat curves make the smallest Dethleffs vehicle appealing, and thanks to its low weight it can be pulled by even a small passenger car . The trailer is offered in three color versions: white, gray and blue. The blue version can be additionally varied with a veneer.

50 thousand PLN is a sum too small to exchange it for a new motorhome, but we can hope to find a used gem in good condition. Today we continue the search that we started in the previous episode in this series. I admit - I thought that finding a well-preserved motorhome for a price of up to 50,000. PLN will be easier. By filtering the ads only in terms of price, you can actually find dozens of them in only one advertising portal. However, if the selection was narrowed down to vehicles not older than 2000, only a dozen or so results will remain on the list.

In the previous episodes of this series, I looked at the offers for used motorhomes at prices up to 15,000 and up to 35,000. zloty. Unfortunately, although gems can be found in these price ranges, they are rare. So maybe I will find something after increasing the budget to 50,000. zloty?. The first word that comes to mind is "job"! I am disappointed that, having such a decent sum, I have to watch offers such as Mercedes-Benz Hymer Mobil from ... 1981! Sure, the vehicle looks well maintained, but 36,000. PLN, however, is too high a price, as long as I want to have a car to drive, and not present it to my friends as a museum exhibit.

Motorhome up to PLN 50,000 - (part I)

How to create an original product? Combine the two, not yet far apart. The American company Moby1 produces teardrop trailers with off-road properties. Ashley Grimes, the founder of Moby1, has been a lover of beautiful design for years. He especially liked the teardrop trailers. So he began to study the construction of teardrop-shaped trailers and finally ventured out to implement his own project. He used the fact that he knew both carpentry and construction, as well as studied history of art and industrial design.

I have already written about the fact that we have little chance of finding a motorhome for up to 15,000. in good condition. That's why I decided to raise the rate and look for something for a price of around 30,000. zloty. The first thing that catches my attention is the Chrysler Grand Voyager Camper . The name can be misleading, however, as there is no question of a car that can be a house on wheels. The main difference between an ordinary Voyager and a Camper is the presence of a retractable roof in the latter, which can act as a tent on the upper floor.

Motorhome up to 35,000 zloty.

Can we buy a camper for up to PLN 15,000? zloty? It turns out that yes, although it certainly will not be a vehicle of the first youth. If we want to buy a car for camping, we can use advertising portals such as Allegro and Otomoto. We can also contact companies specializing in renting and selling campers. However, such offers for 20-year-old and older vehicles are rare in companies. It's different on advertising websites. For PLN 5,980 I find a strange car from... 1978 ! It has been described as a "Hymer-Eriba Bedford Vauxhal Blitz" and looks like a caravan with a driver's cabin (see article: Hymer Eriba-Touring ). Unfortunately, both the outside and the inside seem a bit worn out. I am not convinced by the assurance that the condition is good, the engine can be powered by petrol and gas, and the car is equipped with a kitchen, refrigerator and shower.

Cheap motorhome - up to 15,000 zloty.

The Turks picked up on the returning fashion for teardrops. But what they do with these (and not only these) caravans may surprise many caravanning enthusiasts. Turkish teardrops are sold in Europe under the name Turtle, but in Turkey they are called Caretta and are available in a much richer number of versions. Civil versions of Basoglu Caretta trailers are marked as 1200 and 1500 and are the main export product of the manufacturer. The 1200 model weighs 375 kg and is 3853 mm long. The galvanized chassis and Al-Ko suspension are to guarantee quality. The trailer has accommodation for two people, a set of cabinets, radio, ventilation, alarm. You can also install a refrigerator, a small LCD TV and a DVD player.

A caravan and a motorhome are very practical vehicles. Not only ordinary caravanning enthusiasts find out about it, but also politicians and celebrities. Madonna, George Clooney, Kanye West - these are just a few of the names of the stars who use powerful motorhomes (or rather buses) and tractor-trailer Quixote trailers (sometimes tandems). This is due not only to the celebrity "whim", but often also from the needs. The stars spend many hours on the road, and in the luxuriously equipped caravans they can not only relax. Usually, they also include wardrobes and makeup rooms, and sometimes even offices.

If you're interested in a motorhome that looks great, turn your eyes to Italy. Fortunately, the Italian S-Yacht is distinguished not only by its design, but also by many practical solutions. Mobilvetta S-Yacht among motorhomes may indeed be like a yacht among boats. The fully integrated body with a streamlined yet slightly aggressive front looks very modern and invites you to look inside. This, however, does not disappoint either. You can immediately see that good materials have been used to finish this vehicle. And what is important, this motorhome does not look as if it was composed of standard, separately purchased elements. The S-Yacht gives the impression that every detail has been designed specifically for this particular car.

A yacht for camping?

We have more and more devices that we think are essential. In the motorhome or caravan, we want to have a refrigerator, coffee machine, TV, computer, and fashionable LED lighting that will brighten every corner of the vehicle. But where to get electricity?. Standard on-board batteries are usually sufficient if we frequently change places of residence. Worse, if we plan a longer stop, away from electricity sources. When preparing for such situations, it is worth considering installing roof solar panels.

The American vision of camping may differ a bit from what we are used to. The field conditions can be luxurious, as we will see when we board the Fleetwood Excursion model with the 2014 symbol (indicating the next year). Actually, we do not have to get into this model specifically. All Fleetwood vehicles look similar, and the Excursion is one of the cheaper A-class motorhomes. This one was equipped with a 3-liter diesel engine and costs about PLN 180,000 in the basic version. dollars. But whoever has more cents in their purse, can opt for the Providence model (literally: "providence") for over 328 thousand. dollars, with an engine power of 450 hp.

Fleetwood Excursion 2014 motorhome

During the fair in Dusseldorf, a refreshed range of Hobby motorhomes was presented. So let's take a look at the smallest model of this brand in the new version. Siesta Van, if only because of the price, may turn out to be the most popular Hobby motorhome. Siesta Van comes in two versions. The V60 GF measures 5,999 mm and its basic price is 39,990 euros . The V65 GE is 6,690mm long and is available from 42,900 euros. Both versions, as standard, offer accommodation for two people . In the shorter version the main bed is double, in the longer version there are two single beds. The permissible total weight in both cases is 3.5 tonnes .
